  1. The Catholic Church in Vermont is still an attractive target for moonbats’ hatred and their lawsuits at the behest of greedy, unscrupulous lawyers. The public school system with it’s predatory, agendized non-binary/trans/gender-nonconforming teachers using their profession to groom kids into their lifestyle still remains immune from similar scrutiny. Convincing a vulnerable child that they are in the wrong body constitutes just as much sexual abuse as being diddled by a Priest. The abuse that took place in Churches were the acts of specific perverted individuals. The pathological abuse taking place in the captive audience of our public schools is part of an organized agenda that is being promoted and normalized by many organizations throughout our sick society.

    • Right. And those specific acts of sexual abuse were covered up by the church. The church then moved those predator priests from one parish to another where they continued to abuse minors. Then the church sought to undermine the credibility of the vulnerable young men and women who were abused and brave enough to report their abuse by calling them liars and questioning their mental health. There is nothing greedy or unscrupulous about attorneys defending these victims. It’s clear where the power lies. The church’s ongoing efforts to fight accountability by using tactics like bankruptcy are just disgusting.

  2. Is there no end to the greed of these claimants and their lawyers. $247,000 is more than enough to compensate these claimants. They only came forward after the State of Vermont changed the Statute of Limitations for this case. No Priest was ever charged or convicted of abuse. A Vermont Judge ruled the lawyers could seek to include all church properties, including churches , parish hall, and even cemeteries. The Judge also said they might not be able to add these to their settlement. Meanwhile the Diocese of Burlington must still fight these requests and pay for the claimants requests. You don’t have to be Catholic to know that this is wrong. It looks like the State of Vermont and its court system is persecuting The Diocese of Burlington

  3. They don’t care about the victims, they only want to destroy the Catholic Church. Once again, they are ignorant of history, because far better people than they have tried over the ages.
