


The National Weather Service survey team confirmed an EF-1 tornado with peak winds of 90 MPH occurred on Thursday, April 16 from 9:15 to 9:18 PM in Williamstown.
No injuries were reported.
According to an NWS Burlington office Facebook post, the path of the tornado was .43 miles and 100 yards wide. It sheared tree tops and damaged an old sugarhouse and an abandoned farm building off Chelsea Road.
Damage continued as the twister moved east to a neighborhood on Lila’s Way. Golfball sized hail was reported hitting homes on Baptist Street.

Yes thank you VDC for confirming the tornado. I’m on Rood Pond Road and I saw pea size hail. No trees were down in my yard but electricity was out for over 1200 homes according to Washington Electric. Our electricity did come back on 6 am the next day.
Don’t worry, there will be a new Bill presented in Legislature to ban all gasoline cars again because of this storm
I wonder how much it will cost the taxpayers to study the reasons for this twister?
Not to worry, Attorney General charity Clark is on the case suing big oil. Reparations are on the way 😉
