Taliban murder 8-month-pregnant cop

Banu Negar, pregnant police officer slain by Taliban according to BBC

by Steven Ertelt,

The Taliban have aggressively attacked women and police officers in the aftermath of Joe Biden abandoning Afghanistan. Family members of Banu Negar say that both happened in one feel swoop as Taliban radicals executed the pregnant woman and her unborn baby in front of her family:

According to a BBC report, three gunman entered Negar’s home, searched it an tied up family members, then they brutally beat Negar so badly that her face became “heavily disfigured” due to the attack. Then they shot and killed her.

The Taliban, however, is denying involvement in Negar’s slaying, with Spokesman Zabiullah Mujaheed telling BBC that “We are aware of the incident and I am confirming that the Taliban have not killed her, our investigation is ongoing.”

Negar was reportedly 8 months pregnant at the time she was murdered.

Here’s more:

Details of the incident are still sketchy as many in Firozkoh fear retribution if they speak out. But three sources have told the BBC that the Taliban beat and shot Negar dead in front of her husband and children on Saturday.

Relatives supplied graphic images showing blood spattered on a wall in the corner of a room and a body, the face heavily disfigured.

The family say Negar, who worked at the local prison, was eight months pregnant.

Three gunmen arrived at the house on Saturday and searched it before tying members of the family up, relatives say.

The intruders were heard speaking Arabic, a witness said.

  1. Sad, but what would you expect from people that have evolved precious little since the Crusades of the 11th, and 12th century ? Some (Taliban) still live in caves for crying out loud ! Ug uman !

  2. A sad story, and there will be more. Similar accounts could be written about murders in this country and circulated abroad. The tragedy of Afghanistan is compounded by those who attempt to score political points for their side.

  3. It’s beyond sad that our current administration is so infantile in their logic and reasoning, that they are “surprised” that the Taliban didn’t appoint more women to top government positions. Word is, that on the advice of the Biden administration, LBGTQ (I think I have the letters in order.) Afghani’s are being advised to “come out’ and demand a position in the new government. We’ll see how that works out.
