A Mississippi woman is facing multiple felony charges after Vermont State Police say she pointed a loaded handgun at another driver during a road rage incident on Interstate 89 Wednesday afternoon.

Police said the incident occurred at about 4:59 PM on July 15 in Bolton. The victim, Luc Dupuis, 38, of Shelburne, reported that another vehicle was aggressively tailgating him. As the vehicle passed, the driver allegedly rolled down the window and pointed a firearm directly at him.

Dupuis provided troopers with a description of the vehicle and its registration. Troopers located the vehicle traveling north on Interstate 89 and stopped it near mile marker 82 in Williston.

According to investigators, troopers recovered a handgun from the vehicle and identified the driver as Rashaundra Green, 29, of Quitman, Mississippi. Police allege Green drove aggressively and, while passing Dupuis, leaned over a passenger in her vehicle and pointed the loaded handgun at the victim.

Green was arrested without incident and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated disorderly conduct, two counts of reckless endangerment, and providing false information to a police officer.

She was processed at the Vermont State Police Williston Barracks and ordered held at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 bail. Green is scheduled to appear in Chittenden County Superior Court, Criminal Division, to answer the charges.

  1. Despite her melanin defense which provides a lot in the way of legal immunity in Vermont, she is lucky that she didn’t pull that gun in New Jersey, New York or Massachusetts where the inappropriate use of a handgun is very much less tolerated than in Vermont.
“Y’all don’t be lollygagging in that left lane now, honky”.

  2. so what is she doing in Vermont? Did she come here to collect the free benefits of Vermont hands out to everybody!?
