Sportsmen to honor longtime advocate Evan Hughes Saturday

The VT Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs will hold its annual fund raiser Saturday March 11 at the Barre Elks Club.  This event is the primary fund raiser for the Federation and the organization counts on financial support from this each year.

This event is being held in honor of Evan Hughes, for his many years as the Vermont Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs Vice President for National Rifle Association and legislative affairs, who recently passed.  Evan was our lobbyist, longtime friend and sporting rights advocate ad was also known for his blogs as “VTGUNS”.

Tickets can be purchased at the door. The doors will open starting at 4:00 PM for the start of the Calcutta style events and the meal will be served at 6:30 – 7:00 PM.   Credit and debit cards are accepted.

If you are not able to attend but would like to provide financial support to the VTFSC, you can send a check to VTFSC 14 Stafford Ave, Morrisville, Vt. 05661-8514.  The VTFSC is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization.

  2. Correction: The VTFSC is NOT a 501(c)(3). We are a 501(c)(4). Our sister organization, the Federation Fund for Conservation & Training is however a 501(c)(3).

  3. Thanks to the Federation for honoring Evan Hughes. Not only a huge advocate for all Vt Sportmen, but a true friend and one of the most knowledgeable 2A people in the building.

  4. Evan was an all around constitutional supporter
We knew him from Citizens for Property rights, and gun rights
One among our finest for sure,

Doug and Pat Richmond and the members of Vt.Citizens for Property Rights
