Speeder gets $655 ticket

A Manchester woman must pay $655 after driving 99 MPH, Vermont State Police say. 

At 8 pm Wednesday June 30, police saw a vehicle traveling at 99 MPH in a posted 55 MPH zone on Rte. 7 in Shaftsbury. The operator, Maria Cummins, 48, was issued a criminal citation to appear at the Bennington Superior Court – Criminal Division on August 30. She was also issued a ticket for her speed totaling a $655 fine and 2 points.
