Over a pound of crack cocaine seized

Barre City Police, assisted by Barre Town Police and the Vermont Department of Corrections, raided an Allen Street residence Wednesday evening in one of the larger local drug busts in recent memory, arresting six people and seizing an arsenal of narcotics, weapons, and cash.
Officers executed the search warrant at approximately 8:30 PM at a home on the unit block of Allen Street. Inside, they found roughly 582 grams (~1.28 lbs) of crack cocaine, nearly 10 grams of fentanyl, a large quantity of suspected LSD blotter sheets, two semi-automatic handguns, and over $21,000 in cash.

The two primary suspects — both 20-year-old Connecticut residents — face the most serious charges. Julian Henderson and Tayshaun Parkman, both of Manchester, CT, were each booked into the Northeast Correctional Center on $1 million bail. Both are charged with cocaine trafficking, fentanyl trafficking, use of a firearm while dispensing narcotics, conspiracy, and LSD possession. Parkman faces an additional charge of providing false information to police. Both were scheduled to appear in Washington Superior Court on May 7.
Four others were also taken into custody or cited. Amber Hussey, 31, of Barre was jailed on an existing arrest warrant. The home’s owner, Jean Zampieri, 62, was cited on a charge of dispensing drugs from a dwelling. Two additional Barre-area residents — Dustin Boyce, 39, and Brittany McAdams, 35 — were each cited for cocaine possession and are due in court at a later date.
