Second-degree attempted murder in Berlin

A Berlin man is behind bars after his arrest for attempted second degree murder and other violence-related charges following an incident at a Barre motel that has served as a ‘homeless hotel.’

On December 21, Berlin police officers were sent to the Hilltop Inn for a report of a possible domestic violence incident.

The suspect, Phillip Sader, 41, from Berlin, committed the crimes of Attempted Murder 2nd Degree, Aggravated Domestic Violence 1st Degree, Domestic Violence Simple Assault, Berlin police say.

Phillip was arrested and processed at the Berlin Police Department and arraigned at the Washington County Superior Court where he was held without bail.
