Come Down To Montpelier

Oh, come down to Montpelier
That political morass
You can always tell the Lefties
Cuz the press gives them a pass
They’ve got both hands in your wallet
And their heads right up their….

The winters here are chilly.
Vermont gets mighty cold.
But the Lefties in Montpelier
Passed a tax to heat your home!
They’ll add another buck or four
To every gallon that you need.
They really do not give a damn
If you up and freeze.

We can’t afford to live here.
They’re raising taxes to the sky.
We can’t afford to pay the rent.
We can’t afford to buy.
But if you try to build a house
The Lefties will say NO.
A home just adds to climate change.
Go live out in the snow.

Our healthcare’s too expensive,
The homeless run amok.
Our roads and bridges crumbling,
They banned our cars and trucks.
Criminals run rampant,
The Lefties shift the blame,
To good citizens like you and me,
It’s just a crying shame.
