Lt. Gov. John Rodgers has agreed on behalf of his cannabis business to pay a $2,500 fine to the Vermont Cannabis Control Board for operating at a location that had not received required state approval.
Rodgers signed the Sept. 25 stipulated disposition as the authorized agent for Farmers Underground LLC, which has been licensed to cultivate cannabis at 582 Rodgers Road in West Glover since 2023.
According to the agreement, a Cannabis Control Board compliance agent inspected a greenhouse at 624 Daniels Pond Road on June 5 and found vegetable starts and about 200 cannabis seedlings. The board said that property had never been authorized for cultivation.
Farmers Underground neither admitted nor denied the allegations, but agreed the board had enough evidence to prove them and left the violation uncontested.
The $2,500 fine may be paid in full or in two $1,250 installments, due Dec. 31 and March 31.

LMAO. major crime not having the plants but having the plants at a different location. get the FBI. in the meantime the dems want illegals being in the country. try weighing those two issues.
I don’t use cannabis, but I think it’s flat out wrong that there is even a thing called cannabis control board. Why should anyone need approval from anyone to grow a plant? It’s wrong, just wrong. Just my two cents.
I would think that the liquor control board could be combined with the cannabis control board to streamline enforcement.

Funny how the Lt. Gov gets a fine while Forbin’s Finest in Barre (some of the best weed in the state) loses their license and has to close up shop for the same offense….

Favoritism?…As he is running a tight race for re-election against Sweet Molly Purebred, I have to wonder if he was targeted for enforcement by a politically biased commission to benefit her campaign.
