Road rage triggers assault

A 61-year-old man was cited following an incident in Williamstown on Sunday.

Authorities were notified of a road rage incident that resulted in an assault on Vermont Route 14/Business Center Road at around 6:15 p.m.

Police allege that Luke Lacroix, of Williamstown, and Kristian Riley, 28, of Barre, were driving in separate vehicles on Vermont Route 14 when Lacroix stopped on the road and physically assaulted Riley before leaving the scene.

Police say they later located Lacroix at his home.

Assault while driving – a 43-year-old man from Richmond was arrested on multiple charges for injuring a man while driving a car in Westford earlier this month.

On July 19, authorities say they were notified of a victim admitted into the ER with serious bodily injuries stemming from an assault on Vermont Route 128 at around 10:10 p.m. Police allege that the injuries were caused by Jason Gabric. According to the report, Gabric had assaulted the victim while operating a vehicle in a negligent manner.

He was located with the assistance of the Winooski Police Department and taken into custody without incident for the charges of 1st degree aggravated domestic assault, disorderly conduct, reckless endangerment, and negligent operation.

Gabric was then transported to the Williston barracks for processing. He was lodged at the Northwestern Correctional Facility and ordered to appear in court.

  1. Maybe we should ban cars because they were used in these assaults. Silly, huh, like guns don’t kill, the human with the gun kills.

  2. Let’s ban knives and require they be locked up because we had a family attacked by such a person.
    If a person breaks into your bedroom do you seriously think you will have time to unlock a case and then defend yourself. Don’t believe it. Time it out.

  3. well……..at least this guy ended in jail……Kudos to Judge in this case!
