Released after sex assault charge, re-arrested for making porn

Keith Olson

A Danville man already facing sexual assault charges was arraigned Thursday on additional allegations involving child sexual abuse material and the use of a child in sexual performances, according to the Vermont State Police.

Police said Keith Olson, 37, of Danville, was arrested May 14 following a continuing investigation that began in April 2025.

The investigation was launched jointly by the Vermont State Police and the Vermont Department for Children and Families after a report of suspected sexual abuse of a child.

According to police, Olson initially was arrested in 2025 and charged with sexual assault. He was ordered held without bail, but was released from the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility on bail on Aug. 14, 2025.

State police said investigators continued to pursue the case after Olson’s release, executing multiple search warrants and developing probable cause for additional charges tied to conduct that allegedly occurred before the original arrest.

The new charges include possession of child sexual abuse material, use of a child in a sexual performance, promoting a recording of sexual conduct, and violation of conditions of release.

Police also alleged Olson violated court-ordered conditions following his release from custody last summer.

Olson was arraigned in Caledonia Criminal Court and ordered held on $25,000 bail. He was lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Complex for lack of bail.
The case remains under investigation.

  1. Vermont has no ethics or moral around things like this and so many other things. HOW sad!

  2. Yes, it is sad. People’s hearts do know it is wrong to subject a child to pornographic activity. Children know it, too. Most feel defiled when they accidentally encounter pornographic materials. Somehow there is an innate knowing of right and wrong. That was part of what led long lime agnostic/unbeliever C.S. Lewis to understand there must be a God. God’s ways are known to us at some level even if we don’t admit that there is a God. His books there after have become anchors for people seeking faith in God.

Look all around us at the beauty of Vermont’s natural environment. Oh, how lovely. Where did it come from? What makes the sun, moon, stars, sky, rivers, land, all the wildlife and even YOU?

“The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. Since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.”

Yes, Vermont – you are without excuse, because all nature surrounding us declares the wonders of His creation, His power, and His awesome foresight to create such variety, with such precision, and skill. Creation through variety displays God’s plan for unity.

Will the rebels against Him, tear our youth apart with pornography, teaching that no one should have to care about another – just do what you want, you can be male or female or whatever you want… Or might we learn from nature and Him, and pray for unity to touch us and give us freedom under His loving care?
