A Milton man has been fined $392 and faces criminal charges for allegedly exceeding the Interstate speed limit by 42 MPH.
Sunday evening, state police were conducting speed enforcement on Interstate 89 SB in Georgia. Troopers observed a motorcycle traveling in excess of the speed limit and confirmed via radar the motorcycle was traveling 107 mph. The motorcycle was stopped without incident and the operator was identified as Joshua Ives (40) of Milton.
Ives was mailed a speeding ticket for $392, 2 Points and issued a citation to appear in Franklin County Superior Court for the offense of Negligent Operation.
Man suffers severe burns in truck fire – Saturday at 5 pm, Vermont State Police VSP shut down I-93 in Waterford due to pickup truck fire.
Calex Ambulance arrived and transported driver Garrett Willis, 28, of Littleton NH, who suffered severe burns.
The cause of the fire is unknown. Waterford Fire arrived and extinguished the truck fire. Time of roadway clearance was approximately 1829 hours. Willis’ injuries are not life threatening and he is in stable condition.
Fatal crash in Addison – At 3:21 pm August 12, state police responded to Town Line Road in Addison for a reported motor vehicle in a ditch. Bryan Krymlak (27) of Middlebury was traveling east on Town Line Road, lost control of the vehicle, and exited the westbound portion of the roadway. He was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. He was transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center, where he died.
The road conditions were fine and the weather was clear. Police did not say whether Krymlak was impaired or wearing a seat belt.
