More than 330 Vermonters (so far) petition Welch to investigate electoral fraud

A Dec. 29 petition asking Rep. Peter Welch to investigate electoral fraud has been signed by more than 330 Vermonters, so far, petition author Guy Page said today.

The petition was first published on Vermont Daily, an online daily newspaper published by Page, and has been circulated via social media. It is also featured in a banner ad on http://www.vtwatercooler.com. The petition will be sent to Welch and/or presented to his Vermont representatives on Monday, January 4.

“I’m concerned that our nation is facing a crisis in which both sides – those that believe electoral fraud happened and those that don’t – are convinced they are right, and expect the other side to just submit,” Page said. “Preferably before Inauguration Day on January 20, Congress must investigate to determine whether election fraud affected the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.”

Page noted that Welch is regarded in Washington as a congressman willing to work across the aisle and put principle above partisan politics. “I have spoken with staffers for Republican congressman who say this is true,” Page said. “If there was ever a time for Vermont to play a leadership role in a national crisis, this is it.”

He said he hopes that a full, fair airing of the allegations of fraud in Georgia, Pennsylvania, and other battleground states will lead to a national consensus about what actually happened, and will guide the country to proceed with a minimum of disruption. If that consensus happens, the U.S. can avoid both the declaration of martial law (as feared by some, including many Biden supporters) and the end of the republic form of government (as feared by some, including many Trump supporters).

“This petition isn’t about Trump or Biden,” Page said. “It’s about maintaining citizen faith in our Constitution, our elections and our elected leaders.”

To: the Honorable Peter Welch, Vermontrepresentative to the U.S. House of Representatives:

Whereas

America and all other republics depend on the real and perceived integrity, honesty and accuracy of elections;

More than a third of Americans believe Vice-President Joseph Biden’s 2020 declared electoral victory is not legitimate, according to a Quinnipiac University poll; 

Well-informed, thoughtful public figures have published evidence supporting allegations of significant fraud in the 2020 presidential election;

The consequences of a large minority not accepting the constitutional legitimacy of a sitting president are abhorrent to any thinking American; 

When you were asked at a Dec. 22 press conference “if you were persuaded either before or after Inauguration Day that the 2020 general election was a victim of significant electoral fraud, would you call for and support a House investigation?”, you answered, “There is no basis for that. We just saw Attorney General Barr, the appointee of President Trump, state that he would not appoint a special prosecutor. Because there was absolutely no evidence to support the allegation that there was any significant electoral fraud. It’s not there. So the answer is no….” 

Congress has supreme legal authority to resolve contested outcomes of presidential elections;

Therefore

We urge you to publicly support prompt, open, impartial, and thorough investigation by the U.S. House of Representatives to determine the merits of allegations of 2020 presidential election fraud.

  1. Welch can’t investigate ‘alleged’ election fraud because he’s invested in the contention that ‘election fraud’ hasn’t occurred. To agree to ‘Investigate Alleged Election Fraud’ would be to announce that his judgment was incorrect, or worse. And, of course, he can’t admit to that.

    Instead of asking Welch to ‘Investigate Alleged Election Fraud’, the request should be to ‘Investigate the potential for fraud in future elections’. Citations to the past election then would be inescapable.

  2. It is utterly amazing to me how so many People’s perspectives can draw a summarized conclusion by using certain words when it comes to CRIMES, ILLEGAL ACTIVITY, UNLAWFUL ACTS.

    In the comment above it is stated ‘Welch can’t investigate ‘alleged’ election fraud because he’s invested in the contention that ‘election fraud’ hasn’t occurred.

    Oh Really. So in other words ALL the Impeachment/Russian/Ukraine bull crap the American People were put through with ALL THE FICTITIOUS, fake, contrived, fabricated misinformation; the very same nefarious consortium criminals to include peter welch, bernie sanders, governor scott et al. who were complicit with the above noted narrative were so quick to LYNCH President Trump by agreeing to Impeach, and now when there is ACTUAL OVERWHELMING EVIDENCE, FACTS, DATA, TANGIBLE EVIDENCE for American Presidential Fraud which ENCOMPASSES & is INCLUSIVE for every STATE – After all are we not the UNITED STATES; peter welch gets to skirt around a few words and further INSULT the Citizens of Vermont by ignoring a PETITION by WE THE PEOPLE of Vermont?

    I for ONE DO NOT want to WAIT and hold him to a particular certain set of words such as these: ‘should be to ‘Investigate the potential for fraud in future elections’. Citations to the past election then would be inescapable.

    We are dealing with NOW. And if NOW is not corrected, WE THE PEOPLE WILL NOT HAVE TO BE CONCERNED WITH FUTURE ELECTIONS.

    This is ‘WHY’ the current climate is as it is. Because everyone used words in prior current climates to skirt through TO hold someone accountable for their then PRESENT ACTIONS.

    (peter welch) who took an OATH 3 decades ago should have been driven out of office 2 decades ago. Who even knows if based on the current climate of American Presidential Election fraud, if (peter welch) was truly Selected/Re-elected into office this year by the People Of Vermont with physical votes or was peter welch, just DIGITALLY SELECTED to continue to hold office because of the demonicRats and rhino (contrived voting machines) who clearly want their (deep state/cabal/elite/oligarchs) agenda to ‘CONTROL’ and hold Vermonters hostage by a continuance of imposing DRACONIAN & TYRANNICAL MEASURES by all means possible to include perpetuating this coof covid crisis narrative, which the longer it lingers the worst the stench becomes.

    • Chele Ohayon: You miss the point. Yes, Peter Welch is a fraudulent representative. But, like it or not, he’s the one to whom the petition is directed. Let that sink in for a minute. If you want Welch to consider the petition, if you don’t want to waste your time speaking to a brick wall, change the nature of the request.

      If, on the other hand, you simply want to vent your frustration, AND waste your time, be my guest.
