Earlier today, I received the message (forwarded below) from “Rep.” Becca Balint. I read through it, hoping to see some glimmer of hope. I deleted it in disgust right afterward and went about the rest of my day.
Now that I’ve had a chance to get my dinner and sit back a bit, I’d like to tell you why I was disgusted.
She brags, in each paragraph, “I presented $X” to such and such. On one hand, I’m sure the recipients were glad to get some cash to solve their immediate problem. On the surface, it seems like heartfelt generosity. Surely designed to make you feel good.
However, it’s imperative to note that the money she ‘presented’ is not her own. It’s ours. Every dollar she hands out, making herself look good, is borrowed against our future. This is not just incompetence, it’s a misuse of public funds.
What strings are attached to that money? Can the communities she “presented” those fake checks to put it in the bank and take a vote on how to spend it next year? Or are there conditions attached? Like “Oh, by the way, you must hire the contractor(s) I approve of in order to get the money, or you get nothing.”
Don’t get me wrong. I am glad most of these communities are getting help for needed infrastructure repairs that should have been done years ago during the ‘Build Back Better’ campaign. But it didn’t get done then, and nobody really knows where all that money went. It is a sorry state of affairs we are in when those communities can not help themselves to get what the townspeople need to begin with. We were a prosperous state at one time. This means we have fallen very far down into the abyss of [whatever name describes this mess].
This sort of elitist snake oil salesmanship is what is driving a stake through the heart of Vermont. How many useful idiots are falling for it? That’s what breaks my heart.

Now, we can conclude that this is all insider dealing and if you play along you will get a piece of the action.
What the government giveith, the government will takeith. One practical example:
The Crazy Horse Monument in SD being accomplished by a private family (you should see it, amazing). The gov wanted to help fund the construction. The family said NO, understanding that when the gov gives money on projects, they take over the project. If you go to SD and see Mt Rushmore (do it first) note how the gov ruined that monument with glitzy modifications. Then see Crazy Horse, what a alarming difference, so grand.
Treat the Balint money being the same. She doesn’t know how to really help people, headlines are more important until people smell a skunk.
And this is supposed to surprise you about Balint, she’s just another DEI candidate,
and falls in with Vermont’s other stooges we have in DC., you voted for these clowns, you reap what you sow !!
Wake up people, if you want change for the state, vote these clowns out, if not then don’t complain.
She not getting voted out – not a chance – so when are going to stop your incessant complaining? Calling people you disagree with “clowns” and “stooges” is pathetic and juvenile.
Manley’s best argument against Balint is that she helped secure federal aid for Vermont for infrastructure repair??? Good luck with that!
Re: “… so when are [you] going to stop your incessant complaining? Calling people you disagree with “clowns” and “stooges” is pathetic and juvenile.”
And calling CHenry , with whom you apparently disagree, ‘pathetic’ and ‘juvenile’, is worse than CHenry calling our representatives ‘clowns’ and ‘stooges’? Are you not ‘incessantly complaining’ too?
Your double standard is showing.
The difference, of course, rests in the source of Balint’s generosity – a charitable prospect with which you apparently agree. If, for example, Balint was truly generous, she’d give only her own money and raise funds from people like you who are willing to contribute. Balint, however, as with our other representatives (Sanders and Welch), measures her self-worth by redistributing money and resources from those who disagree with her investment strategy. And while people like CHenry and I have no problem with Balint investing all she wants with anyone she wants, we resist the prospect of being forced to make what we consider to be a bad investment – which is NOT charitable or generous. It’s an indentured servitude. It’s slavery. And Balint, Sanders and Welch are nothing more than Vermont’s plantation overseers.
This reminds me of the old joke “I can’t be overdrawn. I still have checks!”
I warned about Becca Balint years ago and she’s done nothing, NOTHING, to change my mind about her since she’s been in office. So I’ll continue. Maybe someday enough people will wake up. As the line goes, “So you’re saying there’s a chance…”.
I will say that I’d love to get MTG’s opinion on BB. Talk about polar opposites!
I love our Vermont delegation. It’s so kind of them to speak down to us as they do. Their obvious superiority, their generosity with the funds of others and, most importantly, their cosy relationships with the NGO’s and preferred “partners” of their backers, makes us all feel special. Treasured. Seen.
Thank you Becca!
Balint and her ilk are nothing but Marxist leeches sucking the blood out of the Republic.
“Should have been done years ago.” Like when Trump told us weekly he had “the best” infrastructure plans lol
If you will recall, in 2022, Rep. Balint received $1,000,000. of campaign ads from Ukraine. Balint, who made history as the first openly LGBTQ+ person elected to Congress from Vermont, benefited in the closing weeks of her hotly contested primary campaign from a million-dollar advertising blitz carried out by LGBTQ Victory Fund, a hybrid political action committee and super PAC. Singh bankrolled the spending, although the timing of his donation allowed his involvement to remain undisclosed until after the primary.
How’s it going this year?
She voted to pledge allegiance to the WHO health plan.
How much more can Vermont stand before tossing her out?
Rep. Balint driving a stake through the heart of Vermont is a misplaced metaphor. We are not the vampires, we’re the victims.
Build Back Better , . . . a phrase that sounds so promising, so hopeful. But . . . . . did you know Build Back Better is not the hopeful slogan of the Democratic party, and certainly not for Vermont either. Build Back Better is the global World Economic Form’s slogan. But at who’s expense ? Remember this is the same organization that wants the globe to only have 1 Billion people. Currently we have over 8 Billion globally. So a Build Back Better would also be the elimination of 87% of the human race globally. CHECK MY FACTS ! Read the WEF website, and you will know.
I also received her email with all the photos of her spreading money around Vermont, and gee whiz, only 50 odd days before Election Day! That must be a coincidence…..NOT.
Perhaps the most reprehensible message on each of the large checks was her name in recognizable print. Nothing like being so phony as to make it look like the checks were actually from her. We have 3 beauties representing Vermont in Wash. D.C. Hopefully at least one of them can be voted out.
George, I didn’t get that. Would you mind sending it to me? news@vermontdailychronicle.com
stop the give aways now !

Why is everyone surprised that members of Congress bring their home states as much pork as they can?
It’s called “how to get re-elected.”
The voters of this great republic have yet to understand the concept – spending government money results in increased taxes.
The clown who just retired us Vermont’s senior senator spent so much of your tax money he turned it into an art form and got his name put on plaques in front of every public building in the state you can think of including the Burlington airport.
The good news is The Squad is shrinking (bye bye Bowman, Cory Bush.) AOC is getting harrassed and shouted at in her own neighborhood. The in-the-bag voter blocks inside the blue cities are angry and seething. The mind virus of Vermont is starting to cure itself opening up tax bills and utility bills as Winter is right around the bend. The storm is upon them as it is upon the nation.
Forgive Becca, she is simply clinging onto the sinking ideology ship. Imagine she and Peter on the deck of the Titanic, in a stoic embrace, moon pie faces gazing into the abyss….”our plans will go on…..”
Question? I believe our GOVIE locked down the state of Vermont for all that free Covid Kill Shot money. If you obey we will take care of you. Becca is competing to be the new queen of the federal pork masters.
Get Real and VOTE Mark Coester for United States House of Representatives
Mark has a Common sense approach to make Vermont a must better place for all Vermonters! A vote for Mark you will not be sorry with that vote !!
God bless this great county the USA 🇺🇸

She is following Peter Welch’s foot steps. Driving the debt up further and further. Like when I ran against Peter and asked about the debt he said he’s working on it. Well it’s been 10 years and he has worked it much higher. Now it is not only grandchildren paying for it, now it is the great, great, great grandchildren!
