Wayne Moore, 63, of Lyndonville died in a fire in his apartment this morning, state police say.
At 2 AM this morning, Lyndonville Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 580 Center Street in Lyndonville. When they arrived one of the apartments in the building was fully involved, and it was learned that there was someone still inside that apartment.

Members of the Lyndonville Fire Department entered the apartment where they found Moore. Moore was removed from the residence and was pronounced deceased. No other occupants of the building were injured in the fire. The cause and manner of death is pending autopsy.
The Vermont State Police Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit and Department of Public Safety Division of Fire Safety are currently working to determine the cause and origin of the Fire. The fire does not appear to be suspicious at this time.
Rte. 12 burglar bagged, police say – Monday afternoon, state police located Shawn Currier, 34 of Hartford. Currier was placed under arrest for a warrant for multiple counts of burglary into an occupied dwelling, grand larceny, petit larceny, and unlawful mischief.

Currier is a suspect in several burglaries on the Rte. 12 corridor.
Currier was also cited for aggravated operating without owner’s consent, for multiple car thefts. Currier was held on $10,000 bail and will appear in Windsor County Superior Court on March 29.
Fugitive found at unlisted home on Swamp Road – Monday night at 10 pm, state police were contacted by the Plattsburg New York Police Department, requesting help in locating Hannah Shute in Newbury, Vermont. She had an extraditable warrant out of Grafton County, New Hampshire.
State police found her at an unlisted residence off of Swamp Road in Newbury, and she was taken into custody. Shute was held on lack of $10,000 bail at NERC and was cited to appear in Orange County Superior Court today to answer to the charge of Fugitive From Justice.
