Man charged with possession of coke, heroin, stolen U-Haul

On May 25, 2022, Burlington Police Department received a complaint that a man impersonating a UHaul employee had stolen a UHaul truck in Burlington. Later that afternoon police say they spotted Anthony Adalio, 32, stopping the truck in front of the Flynn Theater. He was taken into custody and charged with operation without owner’s consent, possession of stolen property, and possession of heroin and cocaine. 

Adalio was also charged in other recent car theft crimes. 

Illegal gun possession – Isaac Liberty-Hanlon, 43, formerly of Starksboro, was sentenced in federal court May 23 to a time-served period of imprisonment and a three-year term of supervised release for possessing a firearm in 2020 after having been previously convicted of a felony offense.  Liberty-Hanlon is now living in Hartwell, Georgia. According to court records and proceedings, on July 24, 2020, state troopers with the Vermont State Police searching Liberty-Hanlon’s home in Starksboro found a Smith & Wesson .38-caliber revolver in Liberty-Hanlon’s room. He acknowledged possessing the firearm. Liberty-Hanlon was determined to be a felon, having been convicted in 2009 of aggravated assault in Addison County.
