Legislature to hear economic forecast, plan to conduct business Dec. 3

Vermont’s fiscal experts will brief all legislators on the state’s economic and fiscal condition at an all-legislators’ meeting via zoom 9:30 AM, Dec. 3, according to the Vermont Legislature’s website

11:45 AM –  How the Legislature will Convene and Meet in 2021.

Other pre-session legislative gatherings this week include:

Joint Legislative Justice Oversight Committee, 9 am Wednesday Dec. 2 – via Zoom, this committee will discuss victims’ issues with the proposed ‘good time’ reduction in sentencing for current inmates. At 10:30 AM, it will discuss “Mental Health & Substance Abuse Issues/ Resulting  in reincarceration of offenders on Probation, Parole & Furlough.”

Joint Fiscal Committee, 1 pm, Wednesday Dec. 2 – No agenda has yet been published for this meeting via Zoom. The Joint Fiscal Committee is a Joint Legislative Committee that reviews fiscal issues and is charged with approval of grants and responsibilities to carry out rescissions,  and oversight and management of the Legislative Fiscal Staff who work for the Joint Fiscal Office.
