The MO of Democrats’ governing
To the Editor:
“BELLOWS FALLS — U.S. Rep. Becca Balint, D-Vt., unveiled what she said Monday was her first major piece of legislation in her first term in Congress — a $500 billion plan to boost affordable housing.” As reported by the Reformer.
You kind of have to chuckle when you watch how the Democrats run this our country. And here’s a good example:
- Let 10 million illegal immigrants come into our country with open boarders and have no plan on how to assimilate them into the country.
- Then…….. declare there is a affordable housing crisis……hello!….
- Solution: $500 billion dollar plan to fix affordable housing crisis by taxing the citizens who have worked hard to pay off their mortgages and outrageous property taxes.
- And the underlining goal: you will have dedicated illegal immigrants voting Democratic.
- Unfortunately, we have republican politicians who have no problem with this.
And of course we all know that affordable housing means “government controlled” housing. As in socialism!
And lastly, and this is heartless…..the collateral damage of having open borders has resulted in tens of thousands of American youth dying from fentanyl coming over the border unchecked! But, the democrats will not declare that a crisis because it would not benefit them politically.

Spot on.
I agree. It is so sad to watch our elected politicians destroy this country. Can’t even vote them out because the elections can’t be trusted. No need to worry about terrorist attacks, we are being destroyed from within.
More “collateral damage” caused by unfettered illegal immigration. Known, and unknown numbers of terrorists, and possible terrorists allowed into the country. Citizens of countries that are confrontational (enemies) of the United States being allowed in, or sneaking in without vetting. Women being sexually assaulted on the way here. Children used to gain entry for adults other than their legal parents or guardians. Our Southern border is a mess. Personally I have a hard time considering the southern border a border, it’s more like the opening of the great Oklahoma land rush of 1889 except all those people were already Americans. It doesn’t need to look like the boundary between North and South Korea, but it should not look like the opening of Walmart in New York City on Black Friday !
Balint is a socialist. She is more than willing to rob Peter to pay Paul. Isn’t that how she made it into Congress in the first place? And so many gullible Vermonters were sucked in.
Huh. And I thought she was coronated because of her gender.
Seems I remember all the fuss about Vermont REQUIRED a female
representative. Seems Vermont sent a female, but not a representative of Vermont.
And Ms. Cathy, she did it while riding the coattails of her grandfather, a German Concentration camp victim. A Jew who died at the hands of German soldiers. Leopold Bálint was shot after stopping to help a fellow prisoner on a forced march from Mauthausen Concentration Camp just two weeks before liberation. This was from an article on JTA or Jewish Telegraph Agency in 2022. She has the audacity to post on Father’s Day 2021 on FB: “As the son of a man killed in the Holocaust, my dad knows firsthand the dangers of an authoritarian state. Of all the things I learned and inherited from my dad, his deep love of democracy is what I’m most grateful for in this moment.”
Clearly, she does not understand what an authoritarian state is. She demonstrates it every chance she gets all the while indirectly profiting on her grandfather’s death.
I’ll say it again. There is not an income problem, there is a spending problem. The Dems have never embraced that concept. We need to elect persons that are committed to reducing expenditures.
Right on. NH manages to do just fine with a state government half the size of ours.

You’re a mean person Mr. Kenyon. Ms Balint is only trying to house her new constituants so when the census is counted VT gets another congress person like her to help us citizens defend DEMOCRACY!
