Shotgun fired over Fed-Ex truck

A Mount Holly man has been charged after Vermont State Police said he fired a shotgun over a FedEx delivery truck during an incident this spring.

Police said they received a report on July 10, from FedEx driver Yazid Najim, 26, of Bethel, who reported that someone had discharged a firearm at his truck during a delivery route on a prior date.

The incident occurred at about 3:08 PM on April 30, on Howland Farm Road in Mount Holly.

Following an investigation, troopers determined that Barry Gagner, 68, of Mount Holly, fired a shotgun over the FedEx truck driven by Najim. State police allege the act placed the driver in danger.

On Aug. 5, Gagner was issued a citation to appear in Rutland County Superior Court, Criminal Division, at 10 AM on Aug. 31 to answer a charge of Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
