Essex School Board Chair Kim Gleason has resigned, attendees at the Essex-Westford School District meeting learned last night.
Gleason and her husband had sold their Essex home and have been living in Grand Isle County. A majority of the board had requested her resignation. Gleason, who is also a member of the State Board of Education, has been a strong supporter of flying the BLM flag and of the schools’ Critical Race Theory-based ‘equity’ instruction.
The school district will select a replacement to serve until the next annual School Meeting in April. Interested Essex-Westford residents may send a letter of intent to Erin Kennedy Knox at ekennedyknox@board.ewsd.org by Oct. 26.

Apparently, pretty political and well connected, serving on a number of boards. https://governor.vermont.gov/press-release/governor-phil-scott-appoints-kim-gleason-and-jenna-ofarrell-state-board-education
