Weather junkies, rejoice.
The National Weather Service office in Burlington has uploaded a webinar to YouTube on the Great Vermont Flood of July 10-11, 2023.
The webinar, which digs into the meteorological forecasts and events of the heavy rainfall, is about 45 minutes long before the NWS crew answers questions from the audience.
During the webinar, the meteorologists compared the event to Tropical Storm Irene in 2011 and noted that last month’s storm had a “remarkable similarity” to a non-tropical system that passed over Vermont in late June 1973.
