Details are  emerging about the announced Minor Attracted Persons (MAP) a/k/a pedophile meet-up at a Vermont campground located outside of the state capitol in the town of Plainfield.

Washington County Sheriff Marc Poulin told VDC yesterday evening that police will be monitoring the Twinfield School this week with officers and that the reported MAP event has apparently been cancelled.

A town meeting held in Marshfield on September 17 was attended by several dozen community members, with many others attending online.  At the regularly-scheduled selectboard meeting, the owner of the Onion River Campground (ORC) in Marshfield read from a prepared statement to address the growing concern first raised in an article posted online stating a MAP (Minor Attracted Persons) Camp was to be clandestinely held there today, September 19.

ORC owner Jacquelyn Reike stated she was unaware of any such meeting until it came to her attention at which point she disavowed it. She stated she would never allow a meeting that could endanger children on her property.

The town moderator then turned to a local police officer who reminded concerned citizens the right of people to meet is protected under the First Amendment of the Constitution, whether or not people disagree with the nature of the meeting.  He went on to assure people the department had the safety of the children in mind and if anyone wished to take action they would need to use the proper channels and report on a crime that would need to be investigated by the authorities.

Due to the large number of people in attendance, the moderator explained only a limited number of them would be given the chance to speak at which point several voiced their concerns that pedophiles were in fact looking to hold a meeting at the campground, especially given the location is within eyesight of the Twinfield School, a K-12 public school attended by children from both Plainfield and Marshfield.  In speaking with the Marshfield Town Clerk Bobbi Brimblecombe we were informed the jurisdiction of the school is held by the school board and not the town select board.

The meeting in question was posted online as the MAP Camp, a first of its kind, to be held at an undisclosed location in Vermont.  Suspicions were raised in an article that was posted to X authored by Alaric the Barbarian.  The article explains a user noticed the camp advertised to a “marginalized” group upon further investigation realizing it meant pedophiles. According to the website, the apparent host of the camp a watercolor artist in the Barre area.

Also noted in the article were links to the original website advertising the camp that had been taken down upon outcry raised on X.  The internet archive feature was used to obtain the original pages revealing the camp was to be held in Vermont but did not list Onion River as the location.  Instead it states the campground is “woman owned” and has a “bathhouse” and “pond” – regarded by some  online observers as consistent with Onion River – hence the concern.

On multiple pages of the archived site there are explicit references to pedophiles.  Under the “Risks, Rules and Requirements” page one passage reads “expsosure to pedophiles and other weirdos”.  Elsewhere it lists as “Common risks with MAP Camp meals – meals made communally by untrained volunteers of disgusting pedophiles”, and under “Common risks with hiking and other outdoor activities – insect bites and stings…tripping because you were distracted by a sexy minor instead of watching where you were going.”

The Onion River Campground was also in the news last year where the body of a thirteen year old boy who was missing was found.

  1. Weird how Onion River Campground owner Jacquelyn Reike and Nathan Jacquez (“Mytheby,” the event organizer and quite public pro “MAP,” advocate,) are best friends, but yeah, she had no clue. Why haven’t we heard from this guy, anyway?

  2. This should NOT be allowed. This should be STOPPED NOW. It is not this group’s right to gather. They are predators who are sick with pedophilia.

  3. Shocking that schools in that area are willing to let “scary police” in their schools…won’t the kids be triggered???!!!

  4. We need to return to God. We have moved so far from our spiritual/religious roots that it is difficult now to challenge the dishonest arguments of the child molester, the rapist or the serial philanderer.

Today, alternate preferences and irresponsible sexual behavior are sold to us as innate characteristics, detached from morality or intellect. Some adults are no longer expected to use a moral framework to guide behavior. Because all behavior is equally valid and actions are nothing more than the logical expression of their morality free desires.

Others – those with mainstream preferences – are expected to not only regulate their own behavior well, but assume responsibility for the bad behavior of others. This is all wrong. It demoralizes and destroys.

Every functioning society depends upon an agreed moral philosophy. In the West, that philosophy is Christianity. It assumes that we are all equal in the eyes of God. It says we have just one life to live on this earth. It also says that we are made up of mind, body and soul. We are individually responsible for our actions and we must be prepared to accept the consequences of our deeds, good or bad.

So when a promiscuous person contracts and spreads disease, they don’t deserve sympathy, they deserve disdain. Because they chose to behave that way. Similarly, those who would molest a child deserve severe punishment. Because they chose to behave destructively against the innocent.

That is our culture. We must insist on these rules. Otherwise we are lost.

    • In a way, we don’t have to insist on anything.

The Holy Spirit is trying to guide these people, but many don’t recognize the divine discontent in their lives, that they are being disciplined. At some point they are just left to their own devises.

Our job is to point in the direction of truth and love, to show forgiveness and mercy.
Believe me these people are experiencing hell on earth, perhaps not immediately, but they will at some point, nobody escapes their sin.

We need to be the shining light, in one sense, it’s so dark around this state, we should be seen from miles away, even if it’s just a flicker, there is much darkness in our state.

One thing I’m learning, I’m not in control, Jesus Christ is. When I follow, things get much better, there is peace.

  5. It’s interesting to see the strong reactions, when Drag Queen Story hour gets support, like they aren’t attracted to the minors and sexualizing them?

So, there will be an outcry and then next year, it will be standard fare and constitutionally protected due to our latest change in the Vermont Constitution, you do realize it had little or nothing to do with abortions?

They are grooming the entire state, have been for some time. Nobody says anything when the march in the pride parades….little by little….

Suggesting that sex and lust are not love. That sex should be saved for marriage, you’ll see massive push back on that one.

We’ve definitely strayed, no question there.

    • Neil,
I love you, my brother in Christ. Keep up the good fight.
      SLowry gets that love too.
Actually most of the commenters here do.
      Regards to all.

    • Peace to you VTRocks…it’s wonderful to know others in Vermont are following the one leader worth following…….:)

May we be a light, his hands and feet.

  6. “a watercolor artist from Barre” – hence, the moniker Scary Barre. The local churches and businesses hang inverted rainbow flags in their widows. The local non-profits (including the Council on Aging) insert the alphabet acronym syndicate language into their mission statements. A main street commercial property turned into a den of perversion and propaganda. The installed activists plaster the city with all the appropriate symbolism and advertising slogans. They bully and smear anyone who disagrees or raises a concern. They are protected and supported by City Hall (Mother Mulvaney-Stanak the ring leader). The locals drank so much of the kool-aide they seriously believe the lies and symbolism is no big deal = ignorance is bliss.

Is it no wonder the drug busts, overdoses, homelessness, and freaks of misery staggering around aimlessly has grown out of control in Barre? Once the flags went up, it all started to decline rapidly. Back in the day, it was called the weather underground…it has since been revamped, repackaged, rebranded and installed in nearly every community. Look to the hubs of Burlington, Brattleboro, Montpelier, and Barre – the worst shape a Vermont city is in…chances are the activists sit on the Councils, run the non-profits, and the misery index flies off the charts.

  7. I’m a little worried about the Sheriffs lack of concern. The right to peacefully assemble is not absolute. Plus I’m sure a fair number of attendees have prior experience with the justice system and have some level of restrictions and registry listings in effect.

Also it makes total sense these people would come to VT, the risk of getting caught is low and meaningful punishment even less

    • I agree about the low key response by law enforcement. I’ve trained several cops in VT and they refer to it as the “hug and kiss state” where criminals are handled with kid gloves. We need to pass a law strengthening penalties for crimes against children. Were the campers terrorists plotting a bombing they’d go to prison. This should be no different.

    • I’ve heard others say the police are “policy enforcers” not the line of defense for public safety or protect the safety of the community. There are some who are doing what they can and should – but they get little support or accolades for doing the right thing – the Attorney General, the judiciary, and the prosecutors are complicit and compromised.

As far as the “kiss and hug State”, the State will kiss one cheek and squarely, roundhouse punch the other if you don’t fall in and tow that line as directed.

  8. What’s all the fuss? Vermonters celebrate drag queen Story hours! The progressives don’t like that? I’ll bet Bailent is all for it
