A 22-year-old man died Saturday when his car went through an intersection and struck a tree off Colchester Point Road in Malletts Bay.
Anthony Vierieu of Burlington died after his 2003 VW Jetta went through the intersection at Starboard Way at about 6 AM. A passenger survived and was treated for injuries at MCHV, Colchester police told WCAX.
A car fire closed Rte. 128 in Westford for several hours beginning around 5 pm, Sunday September 25.
Police and firefighters were dispatched to Route 128 and Maple Ridge Lane for a report of a single vehicle fire in the roadway. Troopers arrived on scene located a 2012 Chevy Cruze in the northbound lane with fire departments actively extinguishing the vehicle fire.
The operator was identified as Alexander Youchah (18) of Essex. The fire appeared to have started in the engine compartment of the vehicle and spread to the operator’s area. Youchah was able to exit the vehicle and was uninjured.

Once again, it would be good for the public to be able to know if there were drugs involved. We should insist that autopsy reports include information on the presence of impairing drugs so we can have some way of tracking the extent drugs are affecting us and can make intelligent decisions regarding them.
