Closed-lipped CCP frustrates foreign investors, Gordon Chang reports

It’s hard to be the financial center of the world if you won’t allow the free exchange of information – but that’s exactly what the Chinese Communist Party is trying to do. American investors took a bath on an Initial Public Offering for a Chinese ride-sharing app after Beijing refused to share basic information about the company. And Tesla’s Elon Musk may soon find the Chinese government wants to appropriate his technology – but not sell his cars, Gordon Chang tells Maria Bartiromo of Fox Business.

Chang will join popular podcaster and radio host/biographer Eric Metaxas in a visit to Vermont September 10-11 to educate Vermonters about the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Johnson, Chang and Metaxas will speak Friday night September 10 at a reserved-seats dinner at Capitol Plaza in Montpelier, and at an all-day event Saturday Sept. 11 at Ignite Church in Williston. Both events are sponsored, see website for ticket info and reservations. Topics to be discussed include human rights abuses, control of the media, and history of the Covid-19 virus – and why this matters to Vermonters.
