Car fire on highway

Berlin Police Friday evening were asking drivers to stay alert following a reported car fire in the Berlin State Highway.

Emergency services were on the scene managing the situation. The highway reopened at about 8:30 PM, police reported.

There are no reported injuries. However, the affected road/wooded area was been temporarily closed for safety reasons.

  1. I my travels in many states I’ve encountered big black spots on the side of the roads. Alike this article, I suspect a vehicle caught on fire. Another problem with EV. Seen more in the past few years than previously. It seems there’s a link with the development of the lithium batteries and the black spots. Lithium batteries are in phones, computers, and many other devices. Phones have been known to ignite. Bad if carried in a shirt or pant pocket. Even more alarming when computers are on board of aircraft. Noted there have been instances of this risk.

    This is an “rare Earth metal” and China is hording as much as they can get. There’s a “metal war” between America and China to accumulate as much as possible. China is in Africa and South America. In interesting about VT & NH in the future if Lithium is found. VT will tax it.

    Recent article by VDC showing a maps of possible Lithium in VT & NH that could be mined. Scar up them green Mountains, a lib problem, ruins the beauty. Bring back the old style batteries for safety.
