Vermont’s Bolton Valley ski resort has named a new CEO from outside the founding DesLauriers family in the latest management retooling.

The family, alongside a group of investors, owns the 60-year-old ski area.

Lindsay DesLauriers, the daughter of Bolton Valley founder Ralph DesLauriers, moves from president and CEO to board chairwoman, according to Powder.com. 

DesLauriers “will remain involved in shaping the resort’s future, with one of her first big projects being Nordic Peaks, a 32 condo and townhome neighborhood that marks Bolton Valley’s first construction project in more than 30 years,” Powder’s Ian Greenwood reported 

The new president and CEO is Tara Murphy,  who previously worked as a consultant for Bolton Valley. 

Evan DesLauriers, a son of the founder, was named vice president of resort operations, strategic initiatives and long-term planning.

Bolton Valley also recently named a new general manager, Nick Lemire.

Ralph founded Bolton Valley in 1966, later relinquishing the ski area in 1997 as it faced bankruptcy, Vermont Business Magazine reported. 

The resort changed owners several times before returning to the DesLauriers family nine years ago.
