(The Center Square) – President Joe Biden has signed an executive order requiring that Artificial Intelligence technology advance “equity and civil rights.”

Biden signed the order this week, putting more regulatory guidance in place for A.I., a rapidly developing technology that some experts warn could be used for harm for everyday Americans.

Biden took it a step further, though, saying that A.I. “must be consistent with my Administration’s dedication to advancing equity and civil rights.”

“My Administration cannot — and will not — tolerate the use of AI to disadvantage those who are already too often denied equal opportunity and justice,” the order says.

Biden administration officials, including the Assistant to the President and Director of the Gender Policy Council, have also been tasked with finding “accelerated hiring pathways” for the right people on this issue, as defined by the administration.

The order also seeks to “address algorithmic discrimination” in part by increasing “coordination between the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division and Federal civil rights offices.”

The order makes clear that while tech leaders navigate the ethics of A.I. in the beginning of its development, the federal government is pushing to have equity and progressive racial politics included in the regulatory discussion.

  1. Biden can feel votes draining (running?) away. This is just another blatant atempt to buy the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion folks. Ah for the good ole days when DEI stood for Dale Earnhardt Incorporated !

  2. Fox in charge of then henhouse?
    1984?
    Soylant Green?
    Farhenheit 451?

    …history?

    No?
    Nothing yet?

  3. When the President can’t govern by consensus, use executive mandate……….. all of which can be rolled back by the next administration

  4. Yes Exectuive Orders can beover turned by the next administration, or by Congress, but should any of these hairbrain experiments in reversing the last administration’s, (Trump’s) policies be necessary, especially given the positive results that they had ? I mean, who’d have thought that stopping the building of a physical barrier to illegal immigration, while stating that illegal immigrants should receive free health care, would flood the boarder with illegals ? Who’d have thought that printing trillions of dollars, and handing it out freely, and threating those that provide this country our energy would lead to inflation ? Who’d have thought that an illconcieved pullout of American troops would lead to countries questioning U.S. strenth, and resolve ? None of these things, and others should have ever happened, eccept for an administration that intentionally set forth to diminish the standing in the international community of the country that they swore an oath to protect, and serve. When all is said and done a new Federal prison should be built to house those that would intentionally violate their oaths.

  5. They are scared to death actual non partisan AI algorithms will disclose factual, unbiased data that doesn’t align with their narrative and its deceptive lies.

  6. Being the chip in his head, the earpiece in his ear, the bullet point script with pictures on the lecturn, and the intravenous go-go juice before each public appearance makes this installed resident the most dangerous of all before him. An empty sock puppet is our President. Good times!
