Democrat bad boy James Carville, arguably the gold-standard strategist behind Bill Clinton’s reaching the White House, is sounding off on Vermont’s Bernie Sanders.
The likelihood of Vermont’s senior senator winning the Democratic nomination for president in 2028 will be the subject of national pundit Mark Halperin’s guest appearance on Chronicle Conversations at 12:30 PM today on WVMT AM 620, FM 101.3 and wvmtradio.com.
The tough-talking, embittered Carville is blaming Sanders and his fellow socialists for endangering the future of the leftist movement by being too radical.
Carville saved his worst criticism for Vermont’s senior senator, blasting him as an “insurgent” figure for supposedly causing the “most catastrophic event of this century” in Hillary Clinton’s 2016 loss.
He argues that the “left-wing idiots” of today are similarly jeopardizing the Democratic Party’s chances, according to HuffPost.com.
“How did Trump win? I’ll tell you how, because g—–n Bernie Sanders is the reason that Donald Trump is president,” Carville said in his latest rant. “You hear me?” he said. “Listen to me.”
He claims Sanders splintered the party, weakening Hillary, by taking her on in the prelims.
Carville ‘s unhinging comes as Guy Page, editor of Vermont Daily Chronicle, has arranging a broadcast appearance of a national political analyst who’s high on Bernie’s 2028 presidential chances.
The interview, set for 12:30 PM today on Chronicle Conversations, was scheduled in the wake of Halperin boosting octogenarian Sanders’ future White House prospects.
Despite Polymarket giving Bernie only a 1 percent chance of being the next Democrat nominee, Halperin “says the political winds are blowing strong for the former Burlington mayor,” Page wrote Tuesday.
Halperin actually has a good batting average on his political predictions, unlike Carville from all accounts at this point has turned out to be a one-trick pony. Sure, he was the engine behind not only one but two Clinton presidencies, but Huff Post, typically a friendly-to-Democrats, left-leaning news outlet, says that since then he’s had two major defeats.
Carville worked for then-Sen. John Kerry’s failed run against then-President George W. Bush in 2004 and Hillary Clinton’s defeat by Trump in 2016.
He also falsely predicted Trump would lose last year’s election.

The most hilarious moment of the 2016 campaign was during their debate, when upon being confronted about being in the pockets of Wall Street banks, HRC said, “I told them to cut it out,” and Bernie gave the best eye roll in the history of television.
Carville, in this instance, is correct, though he doesn’t see (or admit) the core rot of his party that Bernie and his, at the time, populist movement, helped to shine a light on.
In that year’s Massachusetts primary, in the precincts using hand-counted paper ballots, 3% of the Primary electorate (statistically significant),Sanders beat Clinton by 17 points. Yet she won the MA primary by 1%. Uh huh.
The Ragin’ Cajun has reduced himself to a comedic footnote in history. Watching the extreme left run roughshod over the democrat party is entertaining enough, but the reaction from the few remaining “moderate” party loyalists puts the icing on the pralines. Back in 2016, Bernie backed down and only half-heartedly endorsed Hillary when democrat operatives feathered his nest with a book deal which resulted in him dropping the “millionaires” from his target list of public enemies…when he became one. Many Bernie supporters were disgusted by the democrat party politics that robbed him of the nomination and stayed home for the general election. Say what you want about Bernie, but I agree with Carville, that Bernie may well be the reason that Hillary Lost, and for that I will always be grateful to him and consider that ending her political career was his greatest contribution to American politics. Stay tuned…he may seek the nomination again and lay waste to what’s left of the moderate wing of the democrap party.
They are working in conjunction with the young Turks who did a 10,000 person casting call to select ocasio Cortez and other squad members to run for office in key strategic/ vipulnerable elections, just like the took over Vermont. Don’t be fooled they have a plan, just like they did by letting in all the Somalis to take over an entire state, they are not playing games for sure.
Hilliary once claimed she was a “proud progressive”. As we all know now a progressive is nothing more than a communist in sheep’s clothing. Now the “progressives” are blaming the far left for ruining the Democrat Party when it was them with their anti-constitutional platforms that allowed them to get a foothold in their party. Now you got the commies seeing who can out commie the other commies. Are there degrees of communism?
Now, Hillary, or JFK for that matter would not be welcomed by the majority of the democrat party…
