Braver Angels, a national grassroots organization dedicated to bridging the divide between political ideologies, is hosting an in-person workshop for conservative-leaning individuals on Saturday, November 1, from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Essex Police Department.
The event, tailored specifically for “red-leaning” participants living in liberal or progressive-leaning areas, aims to foster constructive dialogue and equip attendees with skills to effectively communicate their perspectives in challenging environments.
“We really want to hold space for reds in Chittenden County in this cultural moment we are in, post Charlie Kirk assassination,” said Lincoln Earle Centers, a local organizer of the event and the Vermont State coordinator of the organization.
The workshop will provide a space for conservatives to share experiences, discuss the challenges of living in blue-leaning communities, and practice strategies for engaging respectfully across ideological lines. Braver Angels emphasizes de-escalating tensions and re-humanizing interactions, and this event is designed to empower participants to navigate political differences with confidence and clarity.

A free lunch will follow the workshop, offering an opportunity for continued discussion and connection. Braver Angels is known for its inclusive approach, with most activities open to people across the political spectrum, but this event is uniquely focused on addressing the conservative experience in predominantly liberal areas.

Just as a suggestion, you may want to take a look at the pop up adds at the bottom of your articles here. They seem to be consistently along the line of ________’s new bikini pictures show how huge she is/hides nothing, girl wears transparent bikini take a closer look … etc. Not exactly the kid of ads I would want on my page.
Consider a workshop directed to both Blue & Red individuals on the 1st amendment
We need to learn to agree to disagree and speak to each other respectfully
Thank you for the feedback Marianne, we are planning on doing that very thing in January with our flagship red/blue workshop, bringing reds and blues together. We also have this same workshop for blues that live in predominantly red areas, and we have a workshop called depolarizing within for like-minded groups to reflect on what they can do to set the table for more constructive, disagreement, and healthy conflict.
We have a maximum size of 40 people for this event, and it will be first come/first serve for people in chittendon county, with a waiting list for people outside of chittendon county. So if you are in chittendon county, please sign up, and if you know people in chittendon county that come to mind, please let them know about this event.
If you would like to have this or another offering in your area, please reach out and let me know, via email at the bottom of this article.
