The agency “is tracking reports of a potential convoy that may be planning to travel to several U.S. cities,” a DHS spokesperson said in a statement to Fox News Wednesday. Protest Is Protected By the Charter, Legal Group Supporting Truckers Tells Police | 9 Feb 2022 | As police step up efforts to deter the Freedom Convoy demonstration in Ottawa, the legal group representing the truckers is urging the authorities to respect their charter right to peacefully protest. In recent days police have seized fuel and arrested individuals in relation to the transportation of fuel to supply the convoy. “It is winter in Canada. Protesting publicly in freezing temperatures requires the truckers to have fuel to stay warm. Confiscation of fuel jeopardizes the personal safety of the peaceful protesters,” said lawyer Jay Cameron, litigation director at the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF), in a statement issued Feb. 8.

Police appear in multiple videos twisting the elderly man’s arm around his back and shoving him into the side of a car. The arrest took place amid attempts to crack down on a trucker-led protest in Canada’s capital dubbed the “Freedom Convoy” demanding an end to civil rights abuses by the Canadian government in the name of stopping the spread of Chinese coronavirus, including vaccine and mask mandates and business shutdowns. Over a week into the protest, the assembly has remained largely peaceful and manifested largely through incessant truck honking. DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas issued new rules in September of 2021 that said ICE and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) would stop deporting illegal immigrants with less severe criminal records, the Daily Mail reported. Under the new rules, an illegal immigrant has to be a national security risk, a recent border jumper, or a risk to public safety before they can be considered for deportation, The Washington Times reported. But the lack of definition for who constitutes a risk to public safety has already begun causing problems.

Could you imagine leaving your front door open and police officers enter your private home, take pictures of the inside, and then open an investigation based on those pictures?” He said the Capitol Police came after him to settle a score about his criticism of the agency, including for the death of Ashli Babbitt, who was shot by a Capitol Police officer when she joined a pro-Trump mob that stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. “Capitol Police leadership have put a target on my back, but my work in exposing the security failures on January 6th, the death of Ms. Babbitt, and the sham investigation into the events of January 6th will not be deterred,” Mr. Nehls said.

  1. Odd how DHS had no such concerns about six months of rioting, looting, arson, outright secession and murder in several “autonomous zones,” 40 lost lives and billions of dollars in damage. Very, very odd. But some truckers threaten to have a parade and boy, howdy! DHS is right on that. Who are the real fascists, now?

  2. So now truckers are domestic terrorists? Sound more like the truckers are trying to stop the domestic terrorists infecting DC.

  3. Remember when Old Joe AND Nancy Pelousy BOTH said they would/could NEVER “mandate” injections of a never-used & barely tested :platform” into citizen’s arms? Or how the FDA/CDC changed the very definition of the word “vaccine”? My how quickly the so-called “progressive” Democrats went full-Fascist to give people the “choice” of getting Jabbed or losing JOBS! AND the Supreme Coyrt ALLOWS it for “Helath Care” workers who braved the early days of the virus, going from Heroes to Zeros in one short YEAR? And WHY is the USA one of the FEW countries that disregard NATURAL immunity confirmed by a simple test? And ALL this Democrat-made turmoil for a virus w/a 99.8% survival rate for reasonably healthy folks? FORCED INJECTIONS are Nazi tactics, or Commie ones that would make the other Joe, Joseph Stalin, blush. Insanity, NO WONDER the remaining “pro-choice” truckers said NO along with ALL the free-thinking folks who support them. THIS is the line THEY will NOT be allowed to cross, not now, not ever.
