
The kickoff rally for the annual 40 Days for Life began Sunday, February 14 on the sidewalk right-of-way near the Barre Planned Parenthood clinic on Washington Street.

According to its website, “40 Days for Life is an internationally coordinated 40-day campaign that aims to end abortion locally through prayer and fasting, community outreach, and a peaceful all-day vigil in front of abortion businesses.” The international organization claims to have contributed to the saving of more than 18,000 lives, and the closing of more than 100 abortion clinics.
