111 MPH on I-89

A 26-year-old St. Albans man was cited for driving 111 MPH on I-89 in Georgia during rush hour Thursday, September 1.

Vermont State Police were conducting speed enforcement on Interstate 89 when they observed a vehicle traveling in excess of the speed limit and confirmed via radar the vehicle was traveling 111 mph, which is 46 mph above the posted speed limit.

The vehicle was stopped without incident. Operator Robert Mcdonald was cited for negligent operation and ordered to appear in court October 11.
