The Powerball drawing for the world record $2.04 billion jackpot took place this week, and although the winning ticket was sold in California, a winning ticket worth $100,000 was sold at Hilliker’s Store in Newport Center.
Lottery officials say at this time the $100,000 prize remains unclaimed.
If you hold a winning ticket, you must claim your prize at the Vermont Lottery administrative office in Berlin.
The ticket must be signed by the winner and submitted with a completed claim form and valid identification.
“We are always pleased when a winning ticket is sold in Vermont,” said Commissioner Wendy Knight in a statement. “It’s rewarding to see lottery prizes benefit Vermonters and our education system.” Republished from Newport Dispatch
