To the editor:
We certainly have a lot to be thankful for especially with the results of November 5th election. It can signal a cultural shift in our country and hopefully this shift will grow and unite the great divide created by past Administrations.
I’m especially hopeful that religion is experiencing a reawakening starting in a few southern states. Oklahoma is introducing the bible to its school curriculum and highlighting its importance in the creation of our country. Texas is also planning to do the same. Louisiana introduced the 10 commandments into their schools only to have a Federal judge rule it unconstitutional. The state is appealing and it just may reach the Supreme Court.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving. Drink plenty of water before the meal to help prevent a weight gain tomorrow.

Drink lots of water. WOW . That will be the new calling card when the house and senate have to give up their free lunch card and have to pay for their own meals.
Yes we are thankful for the election results nationally and the gains made politically in Vermont. We should all be most thankful for Guy and his faithful staff of VDC for their tireless efforts to help make this positive change possible.
I am thankful for the many on VDC who quote the Bible and encourage the Christian walk in these commentaries. Keep writing with the same anxious pens.
We are thankful for the truths, wisdom, and warnings of the Bible, to which we should all take heed.
Among them, this awareness for the coming year…
Isaiah 5:20 – Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.
Ephesians 6:12 – Put on the whole armor of God, that you may stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places.
Thank you, Mr. Mazur for these sentiments as well as all the pointed commentary you have made in letters to the editor to area publication over the years…
