  1. “Vermont has seven transit providers in different parts of the state. Pandemic stimulus funds have dried up…” The usual Progressive/Leftist scam; take a one off windfall to spend on a new or expanded program knowing full well that when it runs out you can whine about how necessary it is to continue the program. Then proceed to stick it to the tax payer yet again.

    • There has to be zero management ability here, because EVERYTHING IS GIVEN TO THEM VIA STATE/FEDERAL FUNDING!!! Imagine that, all that funding and they still can’t make it??? Maybe running up and down the road all day with few to no passengers is not really productive.

  2. If I never utilized the public school system, I should at least be allowed to re-direct my school property tax into public transit that I would actually use. (Besides, I thought the lottery was supposed to fund the public schools.)

    • Beneficial systems don’t require the violent force of government to steal from one group of people and distribute it to another group of people in order for it to be enacted, ever.

If they give you ALL your money back, you can decide how to spend it, and if the service provides value, there will be enough people spending that money in that system to make it a wonderful success.

Go to any other states and hang out in the public transit area for a day and tell me if that’s what you want Vermont to turn into. There is generally high crime and vandalism, needles on the buses, and several other issues that would make you not want to live near one.
