Re: “Vermont education secretary defends DEI in fed certification.”
This is why Secretary Saunders migrated to Vermont. It wasn’t because she was a conservative supporter of Charter Schools. It was because she is a ‘dei-hard’ progressive liberal looking for a new host-parasite relationship after Desantis & Co. cut off her food supply by turning Florida into a bastion for freedom and liberty.
Perhaps ms.saunders was merely transcribing per instructions. The current state of education in Vermont, both in funding and quality of curriculum and outcomes is totally controlled by a few dozen legislators and their donors and the VTNEA “leadership”. saunders can fill out the forms as instructed- and if the current administration sees things differently, it will be FAFO time. We’ll see how ms. mills in Maine fares with her dystopian education theories, Maine also has most of Vermont’s education issues and distorted theories. There’s little chance any sort of positive education policy or funding reform will be legislated anytime soon in Vermont, further compounding any loss of federal funding- but if that’s the hill the legislature and ms. saunders want to defend- good luck to both.
Vermont education secretary defends DEI in fed certification, just more progressive leadership and rot within the states education system…………..fools in charge.
Not sure where she came from, hopefully she’ll go back home, I hope the Federal Government pulls all funding over this nonsense, we deserve better for the state and our children !!
OUT
Take Back Vermont
No Big City Schools
No Big City Drugs and Crime
No Big City, NWO Governance
We need to get back to our country roots.
Bright side…more evidence for the citizenry suggesting that they should get the state out of the schooling business. Instead of investing in organizations with their crushing superstructure invest in learners. Privatize! Give the money directly to students/families. They’ll contract with teachers/schools for services suitable for their leaner’s needs.
What a shocker, Ms. Saunders is a DEI supporter. It didn’t matter to the progs on the hill, they tried to nix her remember? Well, now she’s one of them and always has been. And now we know why Phil appointed her. I am so glad that my kids are grown adults and not trapped in an indoctrination location in a VT public school. And, we can also surmise why see left sunny Florida for drab, cold Vermont. I’m sure she didn’t align with the Desantis administration education goals. By the way, has anyone noticed how much VT has warmed since we invented climate change?
VIP 1: You raise an important point… that the legislature initially (and vociferously) rejected the Saunders nomination for Ed. Secretary. Could that have been yet another set up? I suspect so.
‘Argument’ is but one literary device that is often used to promote a specific outcome by presenting two sides of an issue in a covertly unbalanced fashion. It’s commonly characterized in an argumentative essay or a ‘good cop, bad cop’ situation, in which two people or groups of people try to achieve something together, one of them being supportive and pleasant while the other resists using threats and force. Catching flies with honey and vinegar as it were.
If anything is clear these days, and as with my recent assertions regarding NPR/PBS/CPB and FOX propaganda, we all should be advised to challenge virtually everything presented to us in the name of the common good by those we don’t know well. Today more than ever.
Which is why, by the way, you see me challenging anyone who will listen to discuss the pros and cons of my pet issue, School Choice.
Think about it. Are you tired of having to decipher everything the Vermont public-school monopoly is telling you… or, for that matter, what I tell you?
In your analysis, consider that those who are willing, as am I, to discuss their points of view in detail in open debate, argue from a position of reason, not logical fallacy.
If someone wants to challenge my assertion that School Choice is our only saving grace, please, have at it. But at the same time, understand that those who won’t enter into the debate likely won’t do so because their argument is weak, if not a blatant distraction.

The state of Vermont needs to get out of the appraisal business as it is not based on actual value, but made up by other sales in the area. If the last appraisal of your property was one hundred thousand dollars and your new appraisal is one hundred and fifty thousand dollars there needs be proof that fifty thousand dollars of capital investment has been added to this property. These phony assessments leads to more bonding capacity in each town and city. Hope you enjoy another six percent increase in your property tax bills this year.
It looks like Vermont’s top installed belligerent occupiers are ready to expend more taxpayer dollars for billable hours and political career suicide grandstanding. So far, Harvard is missing $2 Billion in grants. State of Maine firing off their lawfare warfare cannons. Governor Newscum fighting for his kickbacks from the CCP. It’s an all out lawsuit filing frenzy across our divided land – can’t wait for discovery filings to drop!
I do caution those who believe they will win a losing battle against the People. You best be clean as a whistle and have no paper/digital trail of deeds done dirty. See the lawfare warfare boomerang hitting Letitia James and Fani Cash-G Willis for more details. No honor among thieves, frauds, and tricksters.
Can we see how we are being played?
Is it really just a fake democratic outrage?
They get the DEI they wanted and yet another leader to go against common sense, the constitution and do the bidding of the United Nations.
Hand picked by Gov Scott.
People might consider, things are not as we are told.
Just like the new kid in school, she morphed herself to find favor with the top clique and is now entitled to sit at the cool table in the cafeteria. Sorry for the schoolyard analogy , but I had higher hopes for her being the nerdy rebel who caused a stir and taught the cool kids that they are not as cool as they think they are. She could have been clever and declared that she “opposes DEI propaganda because she opposes racial discrimination in ALL of it’s forms”.
