  1. Intersting….I often wonder when many in the state legislature might burst into flames. I’m guessing it hasn’t happened only because they all steer very clear of any and all churches/temples.

  2. There are many lessons to be learned in the reporting on Decker Towers in Burlington. Glaringly in the forefront is the naiveté of Vermont’s legislators regarding the acute and chronic drug problems thru out Vermont- and that current government policies have not and will not work to solve or even reduce drug use- only increase the size of local and state payrolls to “Combat” the issue. So too, the misguided notion of “safe injection sites” must be abandoned by liberal supporters in the legislature. Read the article, rep’s. cina, paul, brumstead and 26 more. Your support for H.72 is not only mis-guided- it is deadly as well. Every resident of Decker Towers is owed your fair representation as well as those that trespass there,
mr. cina- not just the donors you seek out for dollars. The issues in Burlington mirror other Vermont cities- Brattleboro, Rutland St. Johnsbury- and where blame is cast- the Vermont legislature is as culpable as sarah george for enabling the victimization of these communities as these petulant state’s attorneys and legislators seek their “social justice” ideals. Decker Towers is but a glaring example of government inaction and legislative indifference to the ever increasing drug problems every state is facing, yet somehow legislators think H.72 is a positive reaction to a problem these same legislators helped create?

    • Decker Towers is the model that these legislators are looking to create. Don’t be fooled they know exactly what they are doing. It’s part of the plan.

Know them by their actions, not their cheap and clever words.

Some are undoubtedly useful idiots, others swollen from consuming too much propaganda, void of critical thinking, but many, many, know very well what they do and what results from their actions.

Build Back Better is the agenda from United Nations, not Joe Biden
You will own nothing and be happy is the tag line…..

Which apparently, even that is not working out well.

    • The matter of Decker Towers or any other Section-8 housing is not new – the problems have existed for decades – exacerbated now by hapless bureaucrats, grifting non-profiteers, and useless elected officials. HUD doles out the funding through grants and budget pork. The adminstrators scrape 35% or more off the top, and anyone who qualifies for housing subsidies, regardless of age, disability, etc. are all clustered into tiny apartments like zoo animals. Why is there no exclusive senior housing? Because the bureaucrats deemed senior housing as discriminating – so they lumped in young drug addicts with the elderly and disabled. My elderly aunt lived in such a place – she and her neighbors were not impressed when young, seemingly capable men moved in with their baby mamas while other sketchy young folks were in and out all day and all night. Don’t expect the issue to be solved – it’s a money scam off the backs of taxpayers and to the detriment of residents and surrounding community. The inner-city projects are here by design and the thieves design it to be so.

  3. may be the battery in the suv caught fire/// these fires at gas stations do not happen very often/// had to be some thing out of normal/// but you will not get the whole story from tel//// lie//// vision////

    • “The bill’s sponsor, Sen. Ginny Lyons, D-Chittenden County, says a ban would save nearly $190 million on long-term healthcare costs in the coming years. She describes it as a moral issue. ‘We have to stop thinking about small businesses in this case. I love my small businesses but it’s time to think about small people, kids, and their future,’ she said.”

      Really, Ginny?

You, the sponsor of Proposal 5/Article 22, which enshrined abortion in the Vermont Constitution, talking about a moral issue and the need to think about small people, kids, and their future?

      Really? How bout it?

Another example of the cognitive dissonance of Vermont’s legislature.

  4. 50 years ago when i was unloading 8000 gallons of gas at one of these stations///my biggest fear was that a person would come over and want to talk with a cigarette in their mount/// you would have to tell them to stay back///
