The closing of the Center on Health in Learning is part of the beginning of the collapse of Vermont’s house-of-cards economy, in which one in five Vermonters are employed by a non-profit, according to our State Treasurer. Vermont has been too reliant on federal funds to non-profits. Fortunately, suicide prevention will still be available.

  2. Our State Treasurer Pieciak stated at a policy forum this past summer that 67% of Vermont’s non-profits would become insolvant if they lost federal funds.

    • I guess those with gender-studies degrees will have to get a real job…
      If we want to save lives from suicide, our tax dollars are more effectively spent on keeping fentanyl from crossing into our borders.
