As a twice wounded Marine veteran, where the hell were all you protestors about the lack of attention to those of us suffering from PTSD and other medical issues?
Most veterans I speak with get lousy treatment from the VA.
The VA needs a total rehaul and yes people need to be fired.
My sympathies are with wounded veterans not bureaucrats.
Where are our feckless political leaders, any Vet needing medical attention no matter what, should be allowed to enter any medical faciility and get the service they need !!
Vermonts three stooges in DC, have plenty of lip service for foolishness, and turn a blind eye to Veterans…………………… this is pathetic, time to change things at the top of
Vermonts leadership.
Hopefully Pete Hegseth will straighten this VA mess out, Oh wait the left want him to resign over a tweet, with nothing classified from what I have seen, all smoke and mirrors, did Hillary have classified data on her personal server, or how about Joe and his garage stash of documents ???………… yeah Hypocrites !!
Take away the Medical coverage that our three stooges have and give to our veterans, things will change.
I’ve been using the VA for my care for over 33 years. While I’ve gotten great care there, I’ve also witnessed many workers walking the halls together, chatting on their phones, and visiting with their friends at the sign in stations while fellow veterans are waiting to be checked in. We would do better closing most VA’s, firing most of the VA staff and providing most Veteran care at local medical facilities. In some very rural areas this won’t work, but it will for most of the country.
I have been getting excellent care from VA more than 20 years. I won’t say flawless, but shortcomings are rare, minor, and virtually always related to administrative issues.
If these protestors had any sense, or could hear anything through their hatred, they might realize that the Trump administration intends to reduce fraud and waste in the bureaucracy.
In October 2024, I arrived more than 1 hour early for an appointment. During that hour of waiting, I observed 2 employees who did absolutely nothing. They were reclined in their chairs having a conversation, but did no work. Getting rid of that behavior will free up more money for medical care.
