  1. There’s a very good article by former Forest, Parks and Recreation Comm. Michael Snyder in this article. Michael makes a well reasoned arguement in the conservation vs. preservation topic regarding land management on state land.

  2. One of the biggest mistakes in Vermont was when they allowed the Champion lands to be taken over by the U. S. Fish an d Wildlife and the State of Vermont. There is a constant attack on the camp lease holders to force them to give up their lease with rules that do not apply to the other users of the Silvio Conte Refuge. Just received the new five year plan of ten pages of rules you must follow or your lease will be terminated by the manager of this money wasting operation. This is nothing more than a large experiment on how to manage land. They spent thousands of dollars on constructing a woodcock breeding area and no woodcocks showed up for the event. Comment from Richard Day with no apology. This lease was for fifty years and and the powers to be seem to want to change this. This has the dirty smell of agenda 2030.

    • More land theft from the liberal folks who obsess about the notion that we all live on “stolen land”.

    • Rich, it’s OK if the Left steals it because they can come up with a catchy name for doing it
