It would have been really helpful if NBC Channel 5 had included in its story about searching for the girl’s remains that the case was solved thirty years ago, the kidnapper/rapist/serial murderer/psychopath was caught, and is now imprisoned in Massachusetts for this crime and several other rapes and murders of children.

The only thing not solved about this case is where Sarah Jane Wood’s remains are. The killer has further terrorized and taunted her family by lying about where he left her body, sending them and authorities on a wild goose chase.

The way NBC 5 presented the story, we would know none of these details. Very misleading.
