  1. How can Essex residents oppose a women’s prison when no one seems to be able to define a woman……….even the Chairman of the International Olympic Committee states “there is no scientific way to determine what a woman is…..

  2. No point building a prison as no one gets held with catch and release program currently underway.

    Of course it can be turned into a profit center taking in out of state prisoners charging their states and reducing tax burden on VT tax payers. Hell, go for it.

  3. Ya know what? Vermont is lost, a goner, dead, a communist he**hole that is almost complete. I read these articles, not allowing public comment on the new women’s prison, or the crime whatever task force in Royalton, but let’s have more mental health peoples come in to help these criminals who will be let out on the streets again with zero prison time because we feel sorry for them and they are underserved members of the community blah blah blah. Srsly what is wrong with the people in this state. I can’t leave soon enough.

  4. I don’t blame them. I would not want a prison in my neighborhood any more than i would want a landfill or toxic waste dump. They breed all sorts of social evils.
