Raymond Gadreault, 72, of Coventry, who on Wednesday had cut off his tracking bracelet in an I-89 rest area, was arrested Thursday in Virginia, Vermont State Police say.
Gadreault was on home detention status as pre-trial conditions of release for a domestic assault charge, not a conviction as reported earlier by state police.
At 7 pm Wednesday, Vermont State Police were notified by Vermont Probation and Parole that Gadreault cut his tracking bracelet. His last known location was the Randolph Southbound Rest Area on Interstate 89.
