There are two female legislators a VDC article wrote about that held up and potential VT benefits for veterans for 9 years. Benefits that other states provide, not VT. For instance, if quite elderly and a vet, some property rax relief should be allowed. These two shouldn’t be anywhere near Montpelier. The article exists, look it up. In Alabama for instance and not a vet, anyone over 65 don’t pay a property tax. These two must think if giving any breaks, it will bankrupt the state and they wouldn’t get any salary. SICK.
They were likely wanting to include under the definition of “veteran”, anyone who was involved in the Stonewall riots or the BLM movement…
I’m not surprised that Montpelier’s annual Veteran’s Day parade was not even listed. It’s never really adequately promoted, even when school children participate.
