I’m 7 minutes into this video……this land planning has nothing, NOTHING to do with Vermont and EVERYTHING to do with Agenda 21, Agenda 2030 by the united nations. They are all pawns or knowing evil accomplices. This is a TAKING of Vermont property through zoning restrictions. It has NOTHING to do with protecting the environment and everything to do with controlling the populace.
Montpelier wants us renting, like Bernie Sanders does in Burlington, like the Soviet Union does, renting from the state.
That building was built at a higher expense than most all luxury properties, on the slopes in major ski areas. It’s all a game whereby those connected to this ludicrous “affordable housing grift” make scads of money, meanwhile an affordable, modest home can’t be found in the state besides billions and 4 decades spent on “affordable housing”
They are recreating a feudal system, whereby the Government owns everything. Also a modern version of communism, marxism, socialism…..

Running for office is no easy task.
How do you run?
What party?
Dems cancel any thought outside of the plan.
Republicans….fighting within the party, in a state that has divided our state.
Independant?
Libertarian?
Start your own party? Tried that.
The only thing that the republicans and democrats can agree upon, is they do not under any circumstance want a third party.
Housing solution is very, very easy. It can be creative and fun too. It can put people to work and communities working together, just like after Irene. We rebuilt the state after a major disaster. What did we do, what made it happen so easily and fast?
We made a declaration; we are going to rebuild.
We made an emergency declaration that no permits would be required.
Affordable housing?
Declare we want 24 homes in every town to be built for a sale price of less than $250,000 by next year.
Suspend all permitting required for homes under 1200 sq.ft.
Those towns that don’t accomplish this will be taxed ten million dollars.
The winning down gets a tax break of ten million dollars
Second place five million dollars
Third place a million dollars.
See they don’t want it. It’s not part of the plan.
Speaking of plans, Winooski followed the same plan of Burlington and look what happened, the same thing! NO affordable housing.
It’s not difficult, it’s not about the environment, we could be doing so much more to conserve fuel, make the world a better place to live. It never was about that and therefore will never fix the problem, but it will give all the power to government, just as Rosa in the video explains.
We are really in the middle of a color revolution, few understand the depth, planning and magnitude of those involved, they are always rather impressive.
We could have our housing problem solved within 2 years
Same for our drug, alcohol and crime problem
Same for our school problem.
Same for our Affordability Problem
The problems are not unsolvable, they are the desired results from their plan.
Which is the true reason it won’t change.

Build “affordable housing” for WHO!??

You clearly have not looked for a rental or looked for an affordable home, otherwise you would not ask such a question……we have people living in cars, living in hotel rooms….living in tents….we have massive second homes, but nothing for thee.

Neil, you asked who to vote for? Republicans may be weak in this state because many good ones have given up and moved away, however YOU can make a difference if you would run as an R’ to help out. In this state, R’s WANT to help our sad situation. They are largely real Vermonters who want to stop this tidal wave of disaster. Please join. We MUST vote out the current Democrat supermajority who, as said earlier, they ARE following a national agenda to bring us to ruin so ‘they’ can own us. They can even stop a veto by Gov Scott who is trying to protect us economically (some other decisions are less than desirable). This must be stopped. “R’s” may be divided in VT however they all have the same wish to rectify what is being done to this state. Would you run for office? We need all to help. Then to voters- vote Republican. Dems may be cuter, nicer, more verbally able however their agenda is ALL the same–no matter—they are ALL indoctrinated to vote for what amounts to ruining us. Many taxpayers have begged, cajoled, and politely asked them for something different yet they turn their heads away no matter what they claim they say they’ll do. Please VOTE REPUBLICAN the next time–and run for office if you can. No experience necessary and you’ll receive help from your local committee and likely the state committee. People WILL help you if you would just run for office.

If anyone cares to dive into 71 pages of bureaucratic lawfare warfare, this Green New Deal fiasco goes into effect May 28, 2024:
Final Determination: Adoption of Energy Efficiency Standards for New Construction of HUD- and USDA-Financed Housing https://www.federalregister.gov/d/2024-08793
According to Carl Harris, Chair of NAHB: ““Without adequate review and consideration of how it will affect home buyers or renters, HUD and USDA have rammed through a rule that will do little to curb overall energy use in the U.S. but will exacerbate the housing affordability crisis. Studies have shown that building to the 2021 IECC can add up to $31,000 to the price of a new home and take up to 90 years for a home buyer to realize a payback on the added cost of the home. This unreasonable trade-off for a new home buyer will do little to offer meaningful energy savings for residential homes and apartments.”
Reportedly, big investment firms (Jeff Bezos throwing down into the mix) buying up single family homes, turning them into rentals managed by large property management firms. Only big money can afford buying out swaths of property and set the pricing to ensure “affordability” is a pipe dream as a homeowner or a renter.
Also disclosed, “energy efficiency” money doled out to NGOs, non-profiteers, and utilities. The receiver of federal pork pays zero interest. They, in turn, loan it out with interest over a period to ensure the grift is maintained at the consumers expense. Cost savings are not realized for several years because the rate of interest, low payments, and stagnent incomes is by definition: indebted servitude. Add onto that increasing property taxes, utilities and insurance, means housing will never be affordable to the average American.
Can the picture get any clearer? Whether you are a leftie or a rightie, the big squeeze is on! Their plan is to force as many people out of owning any property as possible or labor intensive for the priviledge to even exist. They have leveraged the market to the hilt and borrowers are frozen out or drowning in debt to the point of insolvency. There is whole lot more, but the jig is up with just a few reviews of the nefarious collusion going on between many co-conspirators. Reprehensible.
You are so “right on” Melissa! Question: How can this be stopped?? It’s a national agenda and is being done in every state. The world government (globalism) is encroaching and we are becoming slaves to them.

The solution?
Come on fellas. First, you must identify the problem.
From a previous recent comment… in the off chance you both were too busy to pay attention to it.
“More than 40% of Vermont’s workforce is employed in the utility, healthcare, education, and government sectors. Add to that their families, friends, and neighbors… our friends and neighbors. Our school boards are infested with retired school employees, school employees from adjacent districts, and employees of the other sectors listed above.
Anyone who advocates for responsible free-market economics is a threat to these people. And, clearly, they will do whatever is required of them, like the ‘teachers’ in Milgram’s infamous 1962 behavioral experiment, to punish those who ‘answer’ incorrectly.
It’s the dark side of our human nature.”

Excellent coverage; good perspectives brought in; good comments and between you two… an aging minority here that is living on the edge of a cliff that could give way at any time…and I never bought into the system, but tried to live righteously, work and live within my budget (no debt), and have found myself kettled out of being able to grow food, have a roof over my head, and just live peaceably.
I canNOT live in apartments (wifi and electromagnetic pollution), and am a full on country girl – I need to BREATHE. ,
I DO NOT WANT TO OWN — I want to rent a small, dry cabin with oelectricity. I am allowed to WANT this for myself… I don’t want YOU telling me that I MUST live with wifi and electromagnetic pollution that is draining my lifeforce — literally — (150,000 times more radiation today than a decade ago in VT and globally) — I just want to live simply to simplty live. I don’t want joaniecomelately (who has gadgets and 150 acres they own) telling me I need to live according to a standard based on THEIR predjudices and biases… and their idea that its okay to tell people how they should live.
Yes — people need help and yes people need housing solutions.
But its NOT the building that is the solution — it is identification of problem: a system that creates poverty.
How about a system that preserves freedom of choice AND choice of housing lifestyles… some people LIKE living in yurts… or in a dry cabin… I prefer living closer to nature. I LOVE MY OUTHOUSE!!! Best weather person out there!
Selling our souls to mammon is what got us here…in Vt… and its what is keeping this toilet bowl circling the drain…
