Gen. Flynn is a retired 3-Star General who served more than 30 years in the armed services before President Obama named him to lead the Defense Intelligence Agency.
Flynn is a well known figure in conservative circles, and is seen by many in the mainstream press to be a “controversial figure.” CNN’s Peter Bergen claimed in a podcast: “He went from being a very well-regarded special operations officer to now somebody who’s one of the leaders of the Christian nationalist right – they refer to him as ‘America’s general.’”
Despite the controversy surrounding Flynn in the mainstream press, he is regarded by many to be one the most honorable men in the American Military, including Donald Trump who said, “You just have to stay healthy because we’re bringing you back. We’re going to bring you back.”
President Trump finished his comments on Flynn by saying: “We’re proud of you, general,” Trump said. “I knew it from day one — you’re really somebody very special.”
Flynn was part of the Trump administration for less than a month after Trump’s inauguration. He resigned in 2017 after he had been charged with lying to the FBI about conversations he had with Russia on Trump’s behalf. He pleaded guilty twice, however Trump pardoned him in the final days of his presidency.
In a conversation with Tucker Carlson in 2021, Flynn warned about the dangerous consequences of the combination of the military industrial complex and the intelligence community.
“The security state of this country has grown probably by five times in the last 25 to 30 years,” Flynn told Carlson.
Flynn told Carlson the Defense Intelligence Agency had employed around 3000 people in 2000. When Flynn was appointed by Obama in 2012, the Agency had nearly 20,000.
“So in a 10 year period of time, and it really was – 9/11 probably was the impetus behind some of this. But I think what happened was, over time, this security state complex really joined with this military industrial complex that Eisenhower talked about,” said Flynn.
“And the danger now that we face is we have – that security state complex are all of these intelligence community agencies and activities that we have, right, that we’ve heard so much about … who actually is in charge of them, and then what authorities or what things that they’re able to do – You’ve lived this, via them monitoring your phone calls, right?” Flynn told Carlson.
This was in Reference to the NSA and FBI monitoring Tucker Carlson’s phone activity in 2021.
In our 20 minutes with General Flynn, we will discuss his documentary film, the 2024 elections, the Safety and security of president Donald Trump, and what he thinks of the current state of our nation. If not too personal of a request . . . inquiring minds want to know how you lined this up, Guy? 🙂
Wow! Fantastic
Ask him about his buddy Ivan Raiklin’s hit list. Ask him what he means about knowing where the bodies are buried. Human bodies? Here or abroad? Ask him how peddling movies, books and swag benefits the Pay-triot movement as a whole? When he pushes for people to act locally, does that mean he is turning around Rhode Island? If so, how?
Funny how influencers are making big money, while the majority is losing nearly all their money. I guess his taxpayer funded military pension isn’t covering all his expenses afterall.
