References to the agenda of the United Nations and its affiliated organizations occasionally pop up in discussion and testimony in the legislation, especially when the topic is climate or land development. VDC has decided to enter “United Nations” into the search engines of key House and Senate committees, and see what pops up.

Today’s report is the first in a series. In the House Committee on Environment and Energy, “United Nations” shows up in 18 documents.

12 of those documents pertain to H. 126, which passed into law last June without Gov. Scott’s signature. This law deals with “Conservation and development; land use; land conservation; biodiversity; community resilience.” It states in its findings section that “human activity has altered almost 75 percent of the Earth’s surface, squeezing wildlife and nature into ever-smaller natural areas of the planet.”

House Environment and Energy is the main committee for Act 250 land use planning and climate change policy. In 2011, Vermont was found by a U.N. organization to be the best state for “sustainable development.

Half of all land off limits?

The law ultimately determines that Vermont needs to “establish State goals of conserving 30% of the land of the State by 2030 and 50% by 2050.” – resonant with the U.N. “50 by 50” initiative.

It also states that “The health of ecosystems on which humans and all other species depend is deteriorating more rapidly than ever, affecting the very foundations of economies, livelihoods, food security, health, and quality of life worldwide.” Rep. Amy Sheldon, D-Middlebury, and others are the sponsors.

U.N. policy dictating carbon reductions?

In a presentation by the Energy Action Network to the committee concerning S. 5 dealing with “mandated greenhouse gas reductions for the thermal sector through efficiency, weatherization measures, electrification, and decarbonization.” It also references U.N. policy.

“The report, by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, a body of experts convened by the United Nations, offers the most comprehensive understanding to date of ways in which the planet is changing,” it states.

It continues that “global average temperatures are estimated to rise 1.5 degrees Celsius [2.7 degrees Fahrenheit] above pre-industrial levels sometime around ‘the first half of the 2030s,’ as humans continue to burn coal, oil, and natural gas.”

Is Vermont in a “Polycrisis”?

The committee also took testimony in January regarding forest maintenance policies. Jamison Ervin gave this testimony, a Duxbury Selectboard member as well as on the Duxbury Land Trust and Planning Commission.  He also has 14 years with the United Nations Development Program among other international groups.

According to his presentation, the world is in a climate crisis, water crisis, food crisis, natural disaster crisis, health crisis, and biodiversity crisis… all of these together account for the “polycrisis” for which public policy must prepare. He argues efforts to mitigate this crisis include that at least 30% of all land must be protected from development.

A “threat to human wellbeing and planetary health”

The committee also heard from William Moomaw who is an Emeritus Professor of International Environmental Policy at the Center for International Environment and Resource Policy at the Fletcher School of Law in Maine. A document that accompanied his testimony last month describes a global agenda.

“Nature-based climate solutions are needed to meet anticipated national targets associated with the Paris Climate Agreement which establishes a global framework to avoid dangerous climate change by limiting warming to less than 2°C (United Nations, 2015),” it states.

The document further states that citizens face catastrophes if public policies don’t adapt soon.

“The cumulative scientific evidence is unequivocal: Climate change is a threat to human wellbeing and planetary health. Any further delay in concerted anticipatory global action on adaptation and mitigation will miss a brief and rapidly closing window of opportunity to secure a liveable and sustainable future for all. (very high confidence)”

Other committees

The United Nations to a lesser extent seems to have a hand in other Vermont Committees. If one searches “United Nations” on Vermont’s House Transportation Committee website – where they are strongly pushing high-cost EVs – shows up in two documents. They are the “Vermont Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory & Forecast 1990-2017” and the “Manual of Environmental Best Practices for Snow & Ice Control.”

In the House Education Committee, it shows up in the “St. Johnsbury Academy Overview” – a “Model United Nations” is one of the school’s social clubs.

  1. the agenda of david rockefeller keeps marching forward/// was there a c. i. a. connection here///

  2. “Polycrisis” agendas = Billions of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for the Elites and their minions.

  3. For more information on the 30×30 and 50×50 land grab is provided by an organization called Nation Stewards of Liberty. Video below.

    https://youtu.be/q8XFBpiYn1s?si=lim6LXywmBItvYaZ

This is a national agenda that applies to the country. I contacted Representative Conlon, and he promptly informed me that Vermont land owners will voluntary conservative the land through the Vermont Land Trust. I called the responsible party at the Vermont Land Trust multiple times with no response.

Nation Stewards for Liberty believes that states that fail to implement the initiative will acquire the land in question, without owner consent.

  4. This is the New World Order agenda, Build Back Better, you will own nothing and be happy.

When you use your hand Marxist decoder ring, it translates to this.

We want to rule over you, just like in times past, where you will be our slaves.

It is nothing about the environment, it is all about taking your money and freedom. Saying the world is going to end is the oldest trick in the book for cruel leaders to instill fear and get compliance. A true leader would be leading by example, do you see any of the world leaders leading by example? Any of the movie stars, which are paid propagandists leading by example? Do you see any of the oligarchs leading by example?

Even Jimmy Carter put on a sweater and turned down the heat in the white house, nobody is willing to even do that. Nope…..Extreme Hypocrites……

there are so many easy ways to reduce pollution and better the environment and save money, none of those options will be done, because they don’t fulfill the objective of taking all your freedom and money.

Know a tree by it’s fruit.

    • Also notice most of them have sea side homes. Why would they live there if the seas are going to rise? All property that is less than 20 ft. above sea level should be worthless and uninsurable, but is it? No, it’s worth billions and banks still finance purchase and construction in these areas. They must not really believe we are in a climate crisis either.

  5. At this point, I wouldn’t blame a single soul for dropping their head to their chest, sighing deeply and checking out. It is so disheartening. I get it.

Chin up, chest out, there’s important work to be done. Let’s get on it. Thank you, Ms. Stone, for the link to the video which was distressing but hopeful. I appreciate all the work you have put in. It is impressive.
    Respectfully,
    Pam Baker

    • Good to hear that climate deniers are disheartened. There’s so much important work to be done and they just get in the way.

    • No one is denying that climate changes. Your statement amounts to political rhetoric to discredit all people who question the United Nations climate agenda and data. The United Nations is politically motivated. It peddles climate fear just like they did with COVID-19. The data models relative to the COVID-19 pandemic were wrong, causing immense harm globally, locking down populations. The UN also uses data modeling to predict climate change. Any sane person should be questioning the intent of this entity. There is no consensus about the immediate threat of climate change and global warming among the scientific community.

    • Mr. Mark,
I see that reading comprehension is not a skill you possess. And that you lack the ability to actually converse. Got it. Well, enjoy this one last time I acknowledge any comment made by you. I am fully aware how trolls function and get their jollies.
Until right this moment, you had the benefit of doubt and a grace period. That has expired.
I welcome honest, intelligent and spirited discourse from folks with real intent to make this world a better place. Say what you will. Call me all sorts of names. It really only reflects on you.
      Be well.
      Respectfully,
      Pam Baker

    • This report came out yesterday, a ballistic missile hit a cargo ship: CNN “The M/V Rubymar — a Belize-flagged, UK-registered, Lebanese-owned vessel — was carrying 41,000 tons of fertilizer when it was struck on Monday by one of two ballistic missiles fired from Houthi territory in Yemen.” Reportedly, an 18 mile slick in the water. Never did hear again about the nuclear waste water being dumped out of Fukushima since 2011. I’m sure it’s nothing to be concerned about.

How does the climate cult explain the war machine, the bombs and weapons of various types, lobbing in all directions? I guess chemical weapons, biological weapons and nuclear weapons are just fine as long as we don’t use plastic bags and don’t drive vehicles powered by gasoline. Makes perfect sense – Not.

  6. Michael Bielawski, Thank you for your research and work. I’m asking you to do more research and work about another point. Due to Vermont’s land/ forests, some report Vermont was and already is carbon neutral. Were that so, the level of crushing crisis we all are being subjected to would shift dramatically. Please be so kind as to perform your excellent search/explore/write/report so to verify that Vermont, as many other states have done and published ( EG Maine) that a Forests Carbon Calculation Tool is measuring and monitoring the amount of carbon stored in state forests and land ( or also called “carbon stocks”) and where we are in carbon sequestration. This measurement acts as the true base line to inform the legislatures in policy and in tax payers making realistically informed choices. Has Vermont ever utilized a carbon stock tool and published those results? Is a forest carbon sequestration /carbon stock figure now a matter of Vermont record and was and is being deployed by The Dome people as they fashion their legislation on behalf of us tax payers? No one can stop the jet stream from carrying air from China. Fact is, China makes up the vast amount of pollution from global emissions. That air moves through Vermont and all over the world. Just a few months ago, in August 2023 as reported by Erin Hale @Aljazerra, ” China promised climate action. Its emissions topped US, EU, India combined Beijing’s heavy reliance on coal plants has cast a shadow over the global efforts to tackle climate change.” AND BTW Michael, does the UN use and publish carbon stock figures? The USDA has a free tool that accounts ( past present future) for our forests storing carbon in their above and below ground live biomass, dead wood and litter, and soils. Search and find the tool @ United States Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, Northern Research Station General Technical Report NRS-13 Revised U.S. Forest Carbon Calculation Tool: Forest-Land Carbon Stocks and Net Annual Stock Change Written By: James E. Smith, Linda S. Heath, Michael C. Nichols Thank you so much Michael.

  7. VT’s Governor is one of 20 Governors, including 2 territories of the US, that are pushing the Climate Hoax (along with the legislatures help) upon the citizens of their states. They are in-bed with China to destroy our local communities from within, and they openly publicize it:
    https://usclimatealliance.org/members/

The states are: AZ, CA, CO, CT, CE, Guam (territory), HI, IL, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, NJ, NM, NY, NC, OR, PA, Puerto Rico (territory), RI, VT, WA, WI.

  8. We Need C02, life depends on it. C02 is being used as a weapon to fool people all around the world. There is no carbon neutral status to even consider. What needs to be done is to expose the Climate Hoax for what it is. It is a scam, an evil political tool of the Globalists to fool the people, put fear into them who listen to this nonsense to give up their rights, their homes, their land, their private property and be serfs forever. It is only one of the tools that the Globalists are using to depopulate, as they want only 500 million people on earth (GA guidestones), to keep everything to themselves and have total control. It is evil, it is Godless.

    • Yessireee…silencing critics is about the only way to keep this train on the rails.
This is a land grab, an economical reset, and marxist/socialist coup de grace of world government.
And we are so traumatized by the manufacturing of Hegelian consent (create the problem, then deliver the predetermined solution that benefits the fascists selling it), that we can’t think straight. We are so hard up in this manmade “povertizing and privatizing” of the earth that we can’t see or think straight.
We have never developed DISCERNMENT so we can tell truth from lies.

      We left God.

      ‘Nuff said.

This is definitely an out in front of all of us agenda that the evil ones are perpetrating on us puny humans. And AI will be the winner.

    • Thinking about the great re set and use of popularized ” carbon neutral ” ” net zero” language and then applying the actual true carbon stock number of the work the forests/soil are already doing in Vermont, including your point, the need for carbon, then amplifying that fact far & wide, will perhaps unequivocally prove the fashioning of a hoax. How can tax payers be asked to pay for electrification, grid rebuild, fuel taxes etc when the forest/land is tirelessly doing that amount of work they profess needs doing ? I”m sure you are aware that 1,600 scientists signed , including Nobel prize laureates the “There is No Climate Crisis” declaration found here: https://wattsupwiththat.com/2023/08/16/there-is-no-climate-crisis1600-scientists-worldwide-nobel-prize-laureate-sign-declaration/

  9. Neil,

You said: “there are so many easy ways to reduce pollution and better the environment and save money,”

Please tell me what easy ways you are referring. This deserves a discussion because I am a fuel user determined to stop S.5.

    • Allow the importation of Kei trucks from japan, small frugal trucks for not much money, 30+ mpg

Promote local organic agriculture with heritage breeds

Offer tax free automotive ownership for vehicles that get 28 mpg combined.

Offer tax free ownership of motorcycle s that get 70mpg

Offer tax free and license free 50cc and less vehicles

New homes under 1000 sq ft, no permits fees and cap taxation at $1500 per year.

Promote auto temperature clothing development, such that you don’t have to heat your entire house to 75 degrees.

Recapture heat lost from hot water usage in shower/sink etc.

    • Or follow what Billy Goat Gates said – the right vaccine can reduce the population by a few 100 billion or so. According to the WEF/WHO, humans breathing is the real problem so once 1/3 of the world population is eliminated (they are perfecting the forumlas) they will be able to breathe easier and they will control whoever manages to survive.

    • In this suggestion, nothing is mandatory. It offers more free trade and more options. If offers to keep more money in the pockets of the poor and the frugal. It helps those who have fallen get back up by offering some sort of way to travel in Vermont an utter necessity for living in the country. This is completely within the confines of any conservative, free market, freedom loving person. It is also ticking many boxes of our neighbors who are concerned about the environment, who are concerned about helping the poor, who are concerned about getting people back on their feet.

It goes against EVERY tenant of the New World order. It threatens to bring people together, which is kryptonite for those Pimpin’ in the United Nations fold.

Richard, we all want a free America, we have to recognize that we are being pitted against our own neighbors to fight.

If they have the R’s and D’s fighting, then the uniparty wins every time. The uniparty want’s complete control of you, your money and they want and think they are God’s, basically they are not humble enough to take any suggestions and will cancel all those who question them.

We are being led by a spirit that promotes deceptions, division and destruction. When we demonstrate Love, Joy and Peace, by example coming together in unity we heal ourselves and the world. There is only one way out of this mess.

We only need to change our direction. TGBTG

  10. Neil Johnson- what are the easy ways to deal with pollution, help the ecospshere and save money?

    • To Ms. Moyer and Mr. McCormick,
Mr. Johnson did outlay his “easy ways” just above. Right under your last comment Mr. McCormick. Maybe you missed it. Here it is copied and pasted:
“Allow the importation of Kei trucks from japan, small frugal trucks for not much money, 30+ mpg

Recapture heat lost from hot water usage in shower/sink etc.”
Maybe these were the ideas you were thinking of?
      Respectfully,
      Pam Baker

    • First, how about we arrive at a consensus on what ‘pollution’ you’re talking about. Define it. Quantify it. Justify it. Specifically.

For example, if someone proposes emission standards that incorporate CO2 limitations, explain why CO2 is important. And be prepared for some to disagree with you. If smog and soot emissions are the concern, define it, quantify it, and explain the logic.

But don’t tell us how to achieve the standards. Let the market do its work.

“When government — in pursuit of good intentions tries to rearrange the economy, legislate morality, or help special interests, the costs come in inefficiency, lack of motivation, and loss of freedom. Government should be a referee, not an active player.” – Milton Friedman

    • Mr. Eshelman, that is perfectly on point but you will never get the individuals screaming about climate change, amongst other things, to listen to logic or reason and be able to respond in a meaningful manner because they don’t possess the capability. They get their dopamine rush from being “virtuous” and being frightened and bullying other people or all three. Because if those methods worked… logic, reason, and a calm and adult discussion were had, there would be far more walkaways than there are at this time.
Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t continue the fight but don’t expect anyone to actually engage in a civilized manner. They either ignore or do a quick ad hominem attack and move on. Sadly.
But I sure do love to see logic laid out like that. Warms the cockles of my heart it does.
      Best,
      Pam Baker

  11. this agenda has been known for over fifty years/// the only reason this is out in the open now, because they pushed too fast to get done///

  12. It is disgusting that Vermont legislators ,let of who I suspect have no idea what the UN et. Al. Is really planning, are so brainwashed that they willingly desire to allow Vermont to cede sovereignty to the UN.

  13. I could get more on board with this stuff if I saw Russia and China following suit. But they never do. They just waive us along and say “sure, sure, that’s great. Go spend your time and money on that!”

  14. a third world war will cover up the banking collapse/// nothing to see here folks/// the events today were planned many years ago/// 2024 will be an interesting year///
