In recent years, the Vermont Legislature has created dozens of study groups, task forces, advisory boards and commissions to take deep dives into policy’ questions. A bill introduced this week would instead look up into the heavens.
H.654, sponsored by Rep. Troy Headrick (Burlington) proposes to create the Vermont Airspace Safety and Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Task Force to evaluate reports of unidentified anomalous phenomena, assess airspace and public safety risks, coordinate with academic institutions and federal agencies, and develop recommendations to improve incident reporting, response, and analysis.
The federal government has formally acknowledged the existence of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) and has established the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office within the U.S. Department of Defense to coordinate federal investigation and oversight of UAP-related reports, the bill states.
It also notes that In 2023, the U.S. Congress enacted the Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Disclosure Act as an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act, establishing requirements for transparency, centralized records management, and standardized federal investigation of UAP. The amendment was a bipartisan effort led by Senators Charles E. Schumer, Michael D. Rounds, Marco Rubio, and Kirsten E. Gillibrand.

Waste of OUR money…
I have a general question. Are participants on all of these “study committees paid from our tax dollars? Just curious.
The truth is out there.
WHAT in the waste of tax payer dollars are these idiots thinking???? Good Lord. Vermonters are looking at a 41% increase in property taxes and THIS is this guys focus???? Ignoramus doesn’t begin to describe him.
They are not thinking as you would expect representatives to think. They are using exactly the same playbook we endured under the “Joe Biden Administration”; a constant barrage of cartoonishly incompetent buffoons acting contrary to your interest and to common sense, constantly chipping away your resistance to their insanity. This is a 5th generation psy war. The old rules do not apply.
Looking for a positive take on that bill . . . perhaps we’ll find out what planet these idiots are from.
If you’re looking for 4 legged creatures [or two humped beasts] check out Montpelier’s nicer motels any evening when the Legislature is in session.
I absolutly saw a UFO in th 80’s.
Looks to be consistent and as well thought through along with all the other tripe being pushed down to the good people of Vermont.. with any luck they will find the beings who will take them away from all this.
You can’t make this stuff up.
Klato nic borata…..
More clown show nonsense. Just what we need to fix our state fiscal disaster.
