“Just no chance that she’s won the Northeast Kingdom”

by Guy Page
The podcasting pundit that liberals love to hate took aim at Kamala Harris winning Vermont on his live Election Night coverage from Mar-A-Lago, the home of President-Elect Donald Trump.
Tucker Carlson opened his segment with Georgia Republican and dedicated Trump supporter Marjorie Taylor Greene like this:
Carlson deadpanned: “It looks like Kamala Harris has won the State of Vermont. Is it over?”
Greene: “It’s over. Congratulations.” (Both burst out laughing).
Carlson (still giggling): “She won Vermont! But really just Burlington, if you come right down to it. There’s just no chance that she’s won the Northeast Kingdom, there’s just no chance that she’s won the pretty parts of Vermont, just the urban slum in Vermont.”
Carlson and Greene then moves on more seriously to the national electoral picture. But (as Carlson is wont to do) with snarky humor he hit the target, if not the bullseye.
59 Vermont towns – mostly small towns, but a few mid-sized towns like Castleton, Highgate, and Lyndon – went for Trump. Remarkably, two of those three (Castleton and Lyndon) are college towns.
As Carlson observed, much of the Northeast Kingdom did vote for Trump. But so did parts of Franklin, Orange, much of Rutland counties, and (believe it or not) a good chunk of Bennington County.
As Carlson also observed, Burlington (and the rest of Chittenden County and all of neighboring Washington and Addison counties, went solidly blue for Harris. Burlington was TDS Central with a 17,414 – 2222 win for Harris.
The Trump/Harris voting returns illustrate some of Vermont’s enduring MAGA pockets, as this map from the Vermont Secretary of State election results web page shows.
On the website page, clicking on the individual town reveals the vote tallies. The results are also published below.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who asked voters to throw their support to Trump but also welcomed votes for him in solidly blue and red states, did not receive more than 100 votes from any single voting district.

As usual, Tucker was right !
Looks like St. Albans town and city were Kamala Harris lovers. This is not a surprise to me as your house and senate members in Franklin County sold you out with the GOVIE lockdowns and the COVID KLL SHOT. The ballot i voted other for both senators and house member and i wrote in the only name i trust. These con jobs were warned the Covid scam demic was a fraud and went along with the GOVIE in the very beginning of this mind control operation.
Carlson is on to something important. There is a demographic not considered in these assessments. The non-voters.
My town of Westminster has 2,646 registered voters. But the State issued only 1,539 mail-in ballots to the town. And only 1,799 ballots were cast.
That these numbers are this divergent should give everyone pause. But no matter how one looks at the numbers, more than 30% of Westminster’s registered voters apparently didn’t bother to vote. Anecdotally, those voters I spoke to said ‘why bother’.
The RNC focused on unlikely voters. But the VTGOP didn’t address this happenstance at all. Draw your own conclusions.
VERY valid point, Mr Eshelman. Them there numbers just don’t add up, do they?
My question would be this. 2646 registered voters minus 1539 mail-in ballots sent equals 1107 people unaccounted for. Minus those over 1539 who voted leaves 847 unaccounted for. Is there perhaps anything in common about those 847 people? Are they some combination of dead, moved, disinterested, and=or no longer in Vermont? If so, then Westminster needs a long and serious effort to clean up their voter rolls.
Or, are those 1107 people who didn’t receive mail-in ballots predominantly registered Republicans? This would point to something even more nefarious going on, no?
Either way, and I’m no rocket surgeon, as I said, something just don’t add up. Would you readers agree?
Now I know it would be daggum near impossible to audit the entire state’s voter rolls to see how corrupted they are (or aren’t) in a reasonable amount of time, but Mr Eshelman has done a good part of the work as regards Westminster. I’d be VERY interested to know how those 847 people break down. VERY interested.
Anyone else?
Looking over the Table of Vote Tallies, there seems to be 5 Towns listed as Harris Winners in error as Trump’s Totals are higher:
1. Granby – Trump 25, Harris 23;
2. Groton – Trump 286, Harris 277;
3. Richford – Trump 544, Harris 415;
4. Sutton – Trump 289, Harris 224;
5. Swanton – Trump 1829, Harris 1555.
Also noted:
1. Waterbury was listed for Trump as a Winner when it shows a larger Total for Harris: Trump – 621, Harris – 2761; and
2. Richmond showed Trump as a Winner when the larger Total is for Harris: Trump – 557, Harris – 2203.
All that aside, Vermont is a laughing stock and a sinking ship.
Liberty is from God, not man. We Need God Back in Vermont and the U.S.!
How Vermont’s elitists view themselves and Vermont is VERY different from how the USA sees Vermont. bernie and the stereotype (ben&jerry) of Vermont’s hippie elitist crowd. Carlson (whom lives in Maine) wasn’t far off the mark- Vermont is perceived as a joke- and it’s politics certainly are a joke.
Worthy of study to pinpoint exactly which predominate demographic fueled Trump wins. My first reaction is, red towns have a lesser percentage of flatlanders.
The obstacle of collecting polling data is getting a straight answer from a native Vermonter. I detest having my time wasted for some twit’s benefit. Always giving a cornball answer. “Tell me, do you own three or more guns………..?”
Seriously, what did Harris have to offer? She stood for nothing except having a D next to her name. Thanks for printing this VDC. My only satisfaction is that the discerning Vermonters that voted for President Elect Trump 😄 helped contribute to his resounding popular vote victory in lieu of losing Vermont’s three electoral votes.
She offered NOTHING! I’ve been reposting this True North post that I kept a copy of. I don’t know the author and it is from awhile ago – but I send it to Harris voters and ask the to name ONE positive thing she has ever done, I NEVER get an answer!
A Jan 24th True North post
“I’m curious.
Did you dislike that D. J. Trump made torture and cruelty to animals a FELONY, or dislike that he signed the ‘Save Our Seas Act’ which funds $10 million per year to help international efforts to clean tons of plastic and garbage from the ocean?
Did your dislike stem from him giving billions to help in stopping the rampant opioid crisis, or because he wanted to secure the border to keep criminals, human trafficking and drugs from free flow into the country? Did you dislike that he has made a commitment to end child-trafficking and crimes against humanity that has resulted in 1000’s of arrests already? Surely not. It must be something else.
Did you dislike him because he made us energy independent and a net exporter of oil to the world, or that ISIS is destroyed, and that Arabs and Jews are talking peace once again? Did you dislike that he ended wars?
Did you dislike that he won and signed new trade deals that benefited Americans instead of costing us our economy? Or did you dislike him because he slashed the price for medications – in some cases 50% – which drove big Pharma nuts? Or did you dislike that he signed a law ending the gag-order on pharmacists that prevented them from sharing money-saving options on prescriptions?
Did you dislike him because he was successful in returning some important manufacturing to our land and despite the health crisis, he created a record number of new jobs? Or did you dislike him because he signed USMCA and other international agreements bringing business to our farmers and small businesses, thus benefiting us all?
Or maybe you just disliked the fact that he made a gay man the ambassador of Germany and then asked him to clean up national security and unclassified as much of it as possible for transparency? Or did you dislike that he kept almost every campaign promise (with a Congress who work against him daily!) plus many more promises he made later because Washington was much more broken than he thought? Did you dislike like that he worked for free, donating his salary to different charities?
Or maybe you disliked what he did for the black community? Did you dislike that he listened to senator Scott and passed Invest In Opportunity Zones to help minority business? Did you dislike that he passed prison reform, which gave people a second chance and has made quite a huge difference for the black communities? I’ll bet it rubs you raw that he has been praised for his work by the most unlikely representatives of the black community.
Did you dislike that he loves America and puts Americans first? Did you dislike that he loves his flag and his country, that he respects cops, veterans, ICE & First Responders? Did you dislike that he passed VA reforms to benefit the very people who served our country and defend our freedom? Did you dislike that he’s brought home over 40 Americans held captive, the last one from Iran?
Did you dislike that he does not sell out America to other countries, like the leaders prior to him have done? Did you dislike that he’s making the world pay their fair share for the UN for protection?
Could it be possible that the ones who SELL OUT America to line their pockets OWN THE MEDIA AND HOLLYWOOD and hate him so much for trying to expose them and hate him for putting the PEOPLE first, that they manipulate our thinking and control the information we get to steer US to hate him? Did you dislike that he calls out and has shown all of us that they ARE Fake News, and they twist the truth to control and mislead the people? These people benefit when you hate the man trying to stop them .… so they won’t have to give up the wealth they have gotten and continue to get thru taxation and control. Wouldn’t you at least want to RESEARCH this possibility?
Do you actually believe the President encouraged America to inject bleach? They won’t tell you of the good he has done despite all the pushback, they just continued to lie. They wanted you to believe he was stupid because if you figure out that he wasn’t, they will lose billions of dollars and their control over you. Your cultivated BLIND hatred of this man, who was literally trying to stave off Socialism, was detrimental to our country as you continue to support their hatred. The media has hated him from day one. Impeachment was on the table before he even took the oath of office. He was never
given a chance, yet in 4 years has shown unimagined results that would be hailed as greatness if done by others. He is far from the uncaring monster he was made out to be.
Results don’t lie. Leftist Do.
h/t to Diogenes”
Vermont’s biggest import is stupid people🤪
JAY….voted for Trump, 161-144 unlike MOST other Vermont ski towns, but is not included in this list!
its in the list above. and trump did win it.
DID SOMEONE PLACE SOMETHING IN RUTLAND’S WATER?
BTW: Everyone should give MTG a listen here …. she clearly thinks that if Trump dumps climate change, so won’t China. Therefore, as Biden said, “time to place Trump in the bullseye” – MTG feels that if the Climate religion gets flushed, the world ‘rulers’ have too much invested in their game to lose control. She fears for Trump’s life.
MTG, RFK Jr, and Tucker Carlson. A modern version of the Three Stooges.
Glad you clarified that. Usually I refer to Vermont’s two senators and one representative as the three stooges.
Some people call others names, because they have argument.
No argument….
How so? Have you actually ever listened to any of his podcasts?
The video is worth watching.
What is. Dry sad is how everybody rights off Vermont. Vermont holds the key to reforming America. What has happened in Vermont is not organic. If we understand the how and why we can solve our problems. Otherwise we are destined to be the first but not last state to be taken over.
We all really need to better understand our problems and why we have them
By design, the populace is made to look at two birds lifted up as the faces of their party. How many people actually voted for local policy issues over personality or party-line-or-die? The mocking of Sniffles Harris having big money celebrities endorsing her, but Trump had his celebrity friends as well. Some saying Joe Rogan put Trump over the top. Who gives a rat’s behind about what Joe Rogan thinks? Isn’t he the guy that had people eating bugs and slugs years ago on national TV – predictive programming anyone? The irony of identical mind game tactics yet one is superior over another – balderdash – it’s all smoke and mirrors.
The photo of Majorie Taylor Greene – a Jezebel with an AR and Tucker Carlson, a paid operative and spawn of a CIA spook. They all come at us with their fake smiles and fake empathy. They are nothing more than gatekeepers and sheep herders. The country would be so much better off if national political, compensated pundits would shut their pie holes and stop carrying the water for the illuminati or the cabal or what have you – I call them “the controllers” just as Carlin pointed out numerous times. John F. Kennedy called them “secret societies.”
My hope is those who say they are going to Make America Great and unify the country actually put those platitude words into action this time around. I hope Vermont politicians do the same – stop pandering and get to work. As I sit in my home with no water this morning (another water main break!), I am angry, frustrated and sick of the nonsense blaring at us all 24/7. Being the people in Ukraine and Isreal have all they need because we pay for it and the American people watch our country turn to third world status. Insanity by design.
Vermont is looking less insane this year. Trump did better this time, getting a tad over half of Harris’ 235, 000+ votes. He carried Orleans and Essex Counties. Although all Franklin towns did not vote for him, most did and not one Senator or Representative from the county is now a Democrat. Interestingly, if you draw a line from Alburgh all the way to Beecher Falls, every northern border town voted for Trump. The long-dormant Republicans now have 13 of the 30 Senators and added 22 new Representatives, meaning if Scott vetoes the loony left’s stuff, the vetoes will stand. So, at least the brakes have been applied. Vermont’s Congressional delegation can’t do much except embarrass us, but we’re
Looks like more bonding coming to your town to fix your water supply problem M. C. and your water rates will go up. Bonding is a good part of the Vermont economy now, due to the fact Vermont can not print money. They just borrow it.
Hi Guy — Where did Tucker Carlson’s father own property in Vermont?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tucker_Carlson
Very interesting! I looked briefly and can’t find it. Anyone out there know?
Sad to see that my former home turf, Lamoille County, has learned nothing. God have mercy.
